Healthcare Repeal Passed House

But I am not celebrating yet.

Let's see it get past the Senate.  And then we are all nuts if we think the president will sign it.

The best thing the House could do is simply defund it all and be done with it until the Presidential election.

Just my opinion.  And just checking in so ya'll know I am still alive.

I agree
Agreed. Still, I believe for the sake of the Constitution that this be overturned in the Supreme Court on Constitutional grounds. If not, our government will continue passing legislation trampling the Constitution. The House needs to pass a binding resolution that all future legislation explain it's constitutionality section by section. There is one member of the House that heard my suggestion on this and took it up as a campaign
issue and I believe he will mount a push for it. This person was not afraid to go into combat with Al Qaeda in Afganistan. He was not afraid to sacrifice his military career to save those under his command. I don't think he will be afraid of establishment politicians.

So far, so good… I’m likin’ it. And I agree, defund and move on to another project.... DON'T fall for this
Democrat BS of forcing us to unveil a replacment before it's repealed, forget that.

Most Americans want it repealed, and would be happier with the old, unreformed system for the time being if we could rid ourselves of the ObamaCare albatross first

And we’re not the only ones liking the GOP's resolve… have you seen the poll surge for John Boehner lately?

Let's see: they've been sworn in for 3 weeks. They took a week off. Then because of another terrorist attack, they took another week off. In the one week since they passed a repeal of Obamacare where up to 15 dems were expected to break ranks with Pelosi and vote with them and they only got 3. Now they are discussing mixing seating at the State of the Union address so that those who support and oppose BHO's agenda can hide from the American people. I would say that at this rate, Boehner will cry his eyes out when he hands that gavel back to Pelosi and BHO is reelected in a landslide in 2 years. All this being said, I'm not ready to jump ship just yet. I will give them more time before I pass judgement. I think we all should. Keep in mind, BHO has risen more than Boehner in the polls so let's not pop any corks on the victory booze bottles just yet.
A good start to showing Republicans will really push for change would be passing either a non-binding resolution, better yet, legislation banning the burning of half the nation's corn crop to help destroy the motors in our cars while people around the world starve and food prices spiral upwards. They could also defund ethanol subsidies as a start while offering farmers tax breaks or other compensations to keep the agricultural community from becoming dissatisfied.
