ObamaCare and Social Security: Insurance when convenient; A Tax when necessary.

Cross Posted at Left Coast Rebel
There are not enough curse words and  epithets to fully express how I feel right now.  Obama is playing the same playbook to keep obamacare that FDR did to swindle the American  People into swallowing OASDI, better known as Social Security.  Remember, so many of us said that it is unconstitutional to require people to buy insurance…well, duh, we have been there before.  OASDI is an insurance when it needs to be and the rest of the time it is a tax… First read part of an excellent post done by Les over at Rational Nation USA  and also posted here on LCR so that you can understand what I am so exercised about…
Remember back when ObamaCare collectivism was being debated?  Recall that the"One", and his Democrat minions, declared that the mandate to purchase health care was not a tax? Surprise! Now that the progressive collectivist have won another for the books they are switching the tune.
The Obama administration is now declaring in open court the mandate requiring  an individual to purchase health insurance, scheduled to take effect in 2014, is simply an exercise of the government's "power to lay and collect taxes." In addition, their belief is that this power exceeds even the federal government power to regulate interstate commerce.
In a brief filed by the Justice Department in response to the challenges in court by over twenty states ans several private concerns the Obama administration take the position the mandate to purchase health care coverage is "a valid exercise" of Congress's power to impose taxes. The department said the Congress can use its taxing power "even for purposes that would exceed its power under other provisions" of the Constitution.
Here is what Obama had to say earlier during the debates over collectivist ObamaCare in an interview with G. Stephanopoulos on ABC's program "This Week."
"For us to say that you've got to take responsibility to get health insurance is absolutely not a tax increase." When Mr. Stephanopoulos stated, referring to a dictionary,  the mandate appeared to fit the definition of a tax the President replied, "I absolutely reject that notion."

Okay, first it was not a tax. Now that the collectivist Obamacare is law it is suddenly a tax  the Congress has every right and power to levy. Whew, I guess when you are "Obama the One" your only principle need be one that furthers your agenda. Even if that means being disingenuous or down right dishonest
I don't know if I am correct here. But I am certainly seeing the dark shadow of increasing statist progressive collectivism and it's belief that the tax payers money is the really the governments and therefor they have the right and power to tax whatever the H they so determine is appropriate.

Rational Nation USA
Now… How does social Security factor in?  Because they did the SAME THING before.  It was “insurance” when being sold to the american people…until people who were philosophically against insurance spoke up…then it was a tax.  It is Insurance when convenient and a Tax when necessary… Read my old post here, snippets of which are below.
“When the bill we call Social Security (OASDI) was first introduced in 1935 it was full of all kinds of Insurance jargon, and it was explained as an Insurance policy, by none other than FDR himself. Why? Well, during the Depression most financial institutions failed, which is why the FDIC was created. Insurance companies were by and large spared from collapse, and most folks trusted them. Also, culturally in 1935 people were against “relief” as welfare was called.”
“BUT, during the the final days of the debate on the bill, the insurance language was downplayed because Congress was afraid that the Supreme Court would declare it unconstitutional as the Constitution had no provision for the Government to run an insurance program. (Oh, for the days when the supreme court could be trusted to do the right thing). So during the passage the tax collecting part and the insurance parts were separated. This is KEY because you need to understand there is nothing binding the two together.”
The Government stated in its defense that OASDI was
“in no sense a federally adminstered ‘insurance’ under which a worker pays premiums over the years and acquires at retirement…a right to receive…a fixed monthly benefit IRRESPECTIVE OF WHAT CONGRESS HAS CHOSEN TO IMPOSE FROM TIME TO TIME…the ‘contribution’ exacted under [the plan] from an employee…IS A TRUE TAX…it is NOT COMPARABLE to an [insurance premium]…” AND “no contractual obligation exists on the part of the Government and no contractual right of a beneficiary could coexist with this reservation of power”
So once again, history is repeating itself with the O-ministration copying the FDR playbook.  This is how Obamacare will always work…“no contractual obligation exists on the part of the Government and no contractual right of a beneficiary could coexist with this reservation of power”
Think about that…  They will not need to ration care because there will not be a contractual obligation OF CARE.   Remember; IT IS NOW A TAX.

Voices from the past, speaking to our present

"Equality of talents, of education, or of wealth cannot be produced by human institutions. In full enjoyment of the gifts of heaven and the fruits of superior industry, economy, and virtue, every man is equally entitled to protection by law. But when the laws undertake to add to these natural and just advantages artificial distinctions...to make the rich
richer and the potent more powerful, the humble members of our society -the farmers, mechanics, and laborers-who have neither the time or the means of securing political favors to themselves have the right to complain of the injustices of their government.

There are no necessary evils of government.

Its evils exist only in its abuses."

Those are the words 'ol Hickory, Andrew Jackson, seventh president of the United States, spoke during his veto of the charter of the Second National Bank, which came back bigger and worse as our current Federal Reserve.

Two quick points:

1. Jackson knew that a bank that was basically above the laws of the land would only work to serve the interests of the captains of industry and more importantly and ominously the nuveau aristocracy of the political class. It, the 2nd National Bank, was heavily in the business of buying off congressmen and using it's extreme special interest influence to pick winners and losers. This should sound eerily familiar.

2. These words also have a broader implication. They speak to the injustice of a government that attempts social engineering. In this case it was to tilt the playing field towards the new aristocracy of the government and the big businesses. In our current situatuon it is to destroy any semblence of wealth to give entitlements out as bribes and payoffs...to tilt the playing field towards the aristocracy of the political class in government.

Same deal, been going on for over two hundred two thousand years.

This is a story nearly as old as time itself

Tyranny It really all comes down to who knows better.  It is the same story that most of you are familiar with as being told by Braveheart.  The Scots-Irish is the culture that more than any other begat the USA.   It goes way, way back to the time of the Romans several years before Christ’s birth, but really takes off not long after his death.  The Roman army conquered the south end of England but was never able to really take the north because there were crazy people up there who fought like madmen and painted themselves blue, they were called Picts.  They refused to bend a knee to a far away authority.  Their culture was based on family ties, personal honor, and leadership was only accepted after it had been earned.  Allegiance was to the most local level.  In AD 122 Hadrian began construction of a wall between the ‘civilized’ part of the island and the wild north. Kings tried again and again for literally hundreds of years to bring these ‘savages’ into line.  They map_ireland_england burned whole towns, slaughtered them in droves but never, eva, eva, won.  These people had freedom hard wired into their DNA.  The Scottish ‘nobles’ eventually were bought off and became ‘civilized’ to the British way of thinking, but still the people themselves never submitted.  They did not view allegiance the same way as the Brits. The British view was of wealth and property, poor people owed their allegiance to their rich ‘betters’.  Scotsmen knew in their hearts every man, prince or pauper, was free, and as stated before their allegiance was to their Kin, then their Clan, then their neighbor clan. They were not isolationists like the gypsies, did not have a class caste system like the rest of Europe, and they freely intermarried with other groups, who then became Scots.  This is what we think of as  a “grassroots” organization now. Their religious affiliation was Protestant and they were some of the first.  The Brits had always also had difficulty with the Irish, for differing but similar reasons.  They decided getting the Scots to move into Ireland would allow them to take both Ireland and Scotland in time.  Bad plan.  Many Scots moved to Ireland in the Ulster Plantation under a colonization plan dreamt up by the Brits.  Soon the Irish and the Scots were fighting each other…when they weren’t both killing the English.  The Irish and the Scots had similar views on Freedom, but differing views on Religion.  Then the first colonization of North America began.  Some Scots-Irish left Ulster to come to the “new world”  with puritans_71107 the Puritans thinking they too could have religious freedom, and to their way of thinking they were protestants just like the Puritans.  Not true.  The Puritans idea of religious freedom was that everyone should be ‘free’ to worship as the Puritans did (Everyone was entitled to their opinion, as long as it was the Puritan opinion).

appalachia6  Scots again refused to be assimilated, and were pushed further west into the Appalachian mountains, which was similar to throwing Brer Rabbit into the Briar Patch.  More Scots came and they stayed in the Mountains, moving South all the while. They intermarried and had lots and lots of little Scots-Irish babies (up to 40% higher birthrates than other immigrants at the time).  Ohio was opened for settlement and by this time the Native Americans or “Indians” were wise to this tide of white men and so began killing of the more gentrified of the English settlers…  The aristocracy in Britain thought they knew just the people to send over to make the Indians lives rough…the Scots.  They sent Scotsmen literally by the boatload to cheap land on the wild western frontiers as as a buffer between “Civilization”  and the “Indians”.  The Scots did as predicted and more.  The Scots kept coming, causing at least one wealthy landowner in England to lament (paraphrasing) “why are we letting them move if it is only so that they can have a better life, how does that profit us?” because he was losing too many tenants on his vast landholdings. The Scots kept pushing the Indians, and still managed to cause problems with their more ‘enlightened, wealthy, and civilized betters’  When the American Revolution began many in England saw it as nothing more than just one more Scottish rebellion, some called it exactly that.  The vast majority of the Scots stayed out of Militia_Shooting2 the fray until the English using their typical bullying tactics that had so enraged Scotsmen for eons, really went too far.  Then buckskin Scots came down out of the hills near Kings Mountain and destroyed an entire British Loyalist force 10 to 1.  Then they did it again at Cowpens, which the Brits never recovered from, ending in their defeat at Yorktown.  The Scots refused to bend a knee, and the USA was born. Down through the ages, the Scots-Irish CULTURE, meaning not only those people descended from the Scots, but also those who became culturally inseparable from the Scots,  have fought in more battles and done more to defend Freedom than any other group of people.  They have given us most of our  presidents (61%), many of our founding fathers were Scotsmen by birth or culture.

Nasty Botoxi Night of Living Dead
The battle is the same today in the 21st century. The Puritans, the Elite, Our Betters, the Democrats, the proponents of European Socialism believe they know better than us.  Us, of the Mountains of Appalachia, the Carolinas, descendents of the first settlers of Ky, TN, TX, AR, and the Missouri Ozarks and all points West.  Our ancestors were at the forefront of the frontier and settled the West because no one else was tough enough, crazy enough restless enough to do it.  They were always fighting and moving to try to keep their individual freedoms, to be LEFT ALONE.  Today we are called Hillbillies, Rednecks, Rubes, Hicks, Uneducated and Unenlightened.  We are the faceless ignorant electorate, “those People” in the “Flyover”.  What we really are is the Poor but Proud, the  Entrepreneurs, The self made men and women  who frickin run this country, just like our ancestors.

These are the people who will decide our fates on Healthcare

The list below is sorted by state, if you have a congress critter on this list burn up the phones, email, Faxes, Go in person, send smoke signals, DO SOMETHING.  They either plan to vote yes or are undecided (meaning they are holding out for more bribery and graft).  These are the people who hold our short term fates in their hands.  I am confident, and grow more confident every day, that if healthcare passes the DemocRats will definitely lose the majority in November, and if healthcare loses the DemocRats will likely still lose the majority in November.

Recent Personal Events With U.S. Healthcare

healthcare If anyone has wondered as to my whereabouts for the past week or so, I have been mostly sleeping in hospital waiting rooms.  I am pleased to say that all seems to be heading in the right direction, but this ordeal has given me some real world experience to back up all of the theory expressed here regarding the state of our healthcare system.

My Paternal Grandfather, my “Pa”, is 80.  The man put a lot of the work into my upbringing, and we are extremely close.  Pa has already had three artificial hip surgeries (two replaced, one repaired again) and he has pretty serious arthritis in other places as well.   His heart has been weak since the 70’s but it has not slowed him down much until very recently. About a month ago it became apparent even to him that something was going to have to be done with his heart or things were going to get very sad very quickly.  He spent a week in the hospital getting his blood pressure and fluid levels optimized for surgery and the surgeon and other assorted doctors decided that he was a candidate for a double valve repair surgery and MAZE or Cardiac Ablation procedure using the DaVinci Robot.  davinci This is where a robot performs the operation endoscopically with the surgeon controlling the robot from several feet away.  Very new, very expensive, but less invasive and more precise, with the hope of faster recovery.

He was scheduled for surgery on Wednesday, February 10th.   The two nurses and the anesthesiologist I met in Pre-op were very caring and professional.  One of the nurses informed us that she would be calling every hour or so with updates as the surgery progressed.  We sat in a nice waiting room staffed by a couple of  volunteers.  We received our update calls and were informed that the surgery was successful and they were finishing up.dali-clock-500x500

Unfortunately this is where things took a downward turn.  It seems that due to several factors when the blood flow was rerouted back through the heart a very bad bleed developed around the sutures on the heart.  The machinery had to be re-positioned and restarted and the surgeon had to double the stitches.  This meant a lot more time on the machines and a lot more blood lost.

The first night Pa spent in the CCU was not a pleasant one.  His nurse Leigh was very frank (possibly too frank) about his situation and what the next 8 hours would decide, she also plainly took her job personally and seriously.  We were told that there was a brand new family waiting room with plenty of couches, pillows, and blankets would be provided and we could all stay.  We did, and Pa made it through that night.  We met Jeanine in the morning, Jeanine was much more positive regarding Pa’s outlook but admitted that the prior evening was pretty touch and go.  We were encouraged to somewhat ignore visiting hours and just pop in from time to time to check on him, a trend other nurses continued (or at least tolerated).  Thursday night Dad and I did not stay, letting my Aunt and Uncle take a shift. Friday brought new nurses, who continued to impress with their understanding and level of care.  Pa’s situation was improving in tiny increments but we were beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel.   Dad and I stayed Friday night again in the family waiting room.  Saturday brought on the weekend staff and it continued to impress.  Saturday was a day of remarkable progress towards getting Pa’s fluid levels down.  In fact we were so sure things were going smoothly Dad and I left again.  I got one hour of sleep,  at midnight we received a phone call that his heart had stopped, but the the nurses got him back. About halfway to the hospital we got another call that it had stopped again, but that it had restarted on its’ own.  The usual hour drive from Dad’s house to the hospital took considerably less time than usual.  Before we got to the CCU it had stopped and restarted once more.  I slept in the CCU room that night, what little I slept.  The nurses were completely understanding of us all. Sunday was a long day, getting his electrolyte imbalance (apparently the cause of the problem) under control and getting his heart rhythm sorted out.  Monday was a Good Day, he got his breathing tube out, he knew who we all were and I got to see his baby blues.  We had a little conversation and he told me to go back to work.  It was a long drive home, but it was a good drive.  He is still there, but he is still improving.

healthcare%20(1) Throughout this entire ordeal every single person that we encountered from the volunteers, the housekeeping staff, the cooks in the cafeteria, the security guards, the nurses, and the Doctors treated my Pa as a person, and the family as important.  We were shown caring and compassion.  We and pa were treated with respect.  We feel that Pa received a top notch level of care.  So to the staff of St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau Mo; from the Security guards who helped us find our way around and were always polite, David and Jody (I think); to the nurses Leigh, Jeanine, Heidi, Denise, Amalaya, Lori and the others whose names I did not get or cannot remember; to Doctors Beck and Jones, to the ones who are still taking care of him during his stay, and all the volunteers and kitchen and housekeeping staff, Thank You.Medical_Center

Now I ask you, if Obamacare were to pass do you honestly believe that we would have such high quality customer service?  Do you really think that an 80 year old man with advanced arthritis and a very badly degraded heart would succeed in becoming a candidate for robot assisted heart surgery?  I think not.  Do you think that in the sort of environment sure to evolve in a government run, certain to be unionized, bureaucratic nightmare, where pay is guaranteed to be substandard, and Doctor’s decisions have to pass a panel of government flunkies (political officers) that we would have had such a good experience?  Our system may suck, but it is still the best in the world.  My recent experience has proved that to me.

UFC champ Brock Lesnar slams Canadian health care

Hey, I know I don’t talk about much of anything on the blog but politics but when one of my favorite spectator hobbies and politics intersect it is really great.  I love UFC!  I Knew that Brock was sick, and knew he was coming back to “whup up” on all comers very very soon, but just saw this over at Musings and had to put my .02 worth in.  You can read the whole thing over here because there are just a few points I want to stress.

The article below is from Yahoo News.
Read carefully what Brock is saying about his care of the lack there of in Canada.
Do we want this in America? I personally say "NO!" We need some minor changes.
But not the radical changes the Liberals want.
I agree totally Fuzzy!

BrockLesnar UFC heavyweight champion (and Man Mountain) Brock Lesnar announced his "miracle" recovery from a career-threatening digestive disease Wednesday while slamming the health care he received in Canada after falling sick during a hunting trip.
Lesnar said his U.S. doctors were "dumbfounded" at his success in beating diverticulosis and avoiding major surgery to remove part of his colon."They couldn't find any signs of any problem in my stomach.
It's just a miracle," the mixed martial arts star said Wednesday on a sports news station in his first interview since falling ill.UFC president Dana White said Lesnar, who has not fought since July, will be back in action this summer against the winner of the UFC 111 bout in March between Frank Mir and Shane Carwin. (uhhh Shane Corwin unless the angels intercede)Shane_Carwin_1000785
The six-foot-four Lesnar, who has to cut weight to make the UFC heavyweight limit of 265 pounds, said he had been ailing for some time last year, before falling seriously ill during a trip to Canada. What had started as flu-like symptoms was upgraded to mononucleosis and then diverticulosis.
Asked about the low point during the last few months of his illness, Lesnar said: "Probably the lowest moment was getting care from Canada.""They couldn't do nothing [sic] for me," he noted in a later media conference call Wednesday. "It was like I was in a Third World country."
"I'm just stating the facts here and that's the facts," he continued. "I love Canada. I own property in Canada but if I had to choose between getting care in Canada or the United States, I definitely want to be in the United States. Canadians, don't get me wrong here. Listen, I love Canada, some of the best people and best hunting in the world. I have family up there. But I wasn't at the right facility. And it makes sense for me to say that."
Lesnar, who makes his home in Minnesota, refused to say where he was treated in Canada although he talked of his wife driving him "in excruciating pain" to the border. "I knew that I had to get out of there. And my wife saved my life. She got me out of there and drove 100 miles an hour to get me down to Bismarck, North Dakota, to Medcenter One (hospital) and got me with Dr. (Brent) Buderer and his staff, and that doctor there saved my career and saved my life."
…Doctors put him on antibiotics and pain medication, while suggesting surgery was likely the final option. Lesnar spent the next 11 days there. "No food, no water, fed intravenously. Lost 40 pounds."He underwent a small procedure, having a six-inch needle inserted into his stomach to drain three pockets and withdraw 14 cubic centimetres of fluid. The next morning, he decided to go home, with his doctor saying he wanted him back in three months for surgery once some swelling had subsided. The next week he visited the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., for a second opinion. Doctors there also recommended surgery.
"I didn't want to (have surgery), if I could beat the odds, I was going to do everything in my power to do that," said Lesnar, adding he would probably have had to retire if the surgery was unavoidable. He went home, hit the gym, put some 30 pounds back on and returned to the doctor Jan. 5. Tests gave him a clean bill of health. "Basically the doctor said you've got a lottery ticket, this is unbelievable. We can't believe you didn't need surgery," said White.  Lesnar said because of the diverticulosis, the food he was eating was not being absorbed properly. "I couldn't eat enough food to get enough energy."…

Lesnar said a "total protein" diet with not enough fibre contributed to his health problems. "I'm a carnivore, I'm not a big an of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). I'm a member of the NRA (National Rifle Association) and whatever I kill, I eat. Basically I was for years surviving on meat and potatoes.
When the greens came by, I just kept passing them."  He said he revamped his diet, prayed a lot and used some "natural healing medicine."
Lesnar calls it a life-changing experience.

Lesnar recalled the night in Canada when he believes the perforation in his stomach happened.
"I woke up in shock, in cold sweat. I mean it was big time," he said. "Didn't know where I was and realized I had to seek medical help." He said he was two and a half to three hours "from what I thought would be a good medical facility."
But he refused to say where, saying: "I'm not going to disclose anything."
"The only reason I'm mentioning this is I'm mentioning this to the United States of America because President Obama is pushing this health-care reform. And obviously I don't want it. I'm a conservative Republican . . . I'm speaking on behalf of Americans, I'm speaking on behalf of our doctors in the United States that don't want this to happen and neither do I.”  "The main thing is I'm sitting here, I'm healthy, and I got the right care that I needed," he added.”

Oh, wait, no way, you're kidding, he didn't just say what I think he did… did he?

Ummm yeah, he did.  Talk about being clueless and tone deaf… he gets the Biden Award for Sheer Stoopidity®

House Democrats Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, is the chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and he recently had this to say:

he expects Democratic Senate candidate Martha Coakley to “win in Massachusetts.”

Van Hollen said Republican predictions that the political climate had changed so much that they can capture the 40 seats needed to regain control of the House was “pure hallucination”

“Why would you hand the keys to the car back to the same guys whose ted-kennedypolicies drove the economy into the ditch and then walked away from the scene of the accident?” Van Hollen said. “For the Republicans to say vote for us and bring back the guys who got us into this mess in the first place, I don’t think it’s a winner.”

Health Bill Can Pass Senate With 51 Votes, Van Hollen Says - Yahoo! News

A democratic operative should NEVER EVEEEERRRR talk about cars, ditches, bridges…

See for all of you just joining the class; Ted Kennedy held the seat that is currently being decided on in the special election… there was this incident with Teddy, and Mary Jo, and a Bridge….oh hell, never mind, if you don’t get it you never will.chappaquiddick-kennedy

Missouri State Representatives take on ObamaCare

SI_MissouriLandmarks_Martin_022008 God, how I love Missouri and Missourians.  Even with complete Wastes-of-skin®  like Cleaver, Carnahan, and Claire-Bear McCaskill around, Missourians, and for the most part those who are elected to represent them, are pretty awesome.  The Representatives from the Missouri General Assembly below are pushing Missouri House Joint Resolution 57, which, if passed would put a Referendum on the ballot to Amend the Missouri Constitution basically Nullifying the personal mandate.  It makes me smile with Evil Glee® just thinking about it.  It states in part:

“To preserve the freedom of citizens of this state to provide for their health care, no law or rule shall compel, directly or indirectly or through penalties or fines, any person, employer, or health provider to participate in any health care system.  A person or employer may pay directly for lawful health care services and shall not be required to pay penalties or fines for paying directly for lawful health care services.  A health care provider may accept direct payment for lawful health care services and shall not be required to pay penalties or fines for accepting direct payment from a person or employer for lawful health care services.”

The Resolution was Introduced By Representative Jones (89, Eureka Area) and co-sponsored by Icet, Nieves, Scharnhorst, Stream, Schaaf, Thomson, Funderburk, Burlison, Koenig, Gatschenberger, Smith (150), Emery, Bivins, Smith (14), Kraus, Ruzicka, Cox, Munzlinger, Denison, Richard, Jones (117), Tilley, Wells, Wilson (130), Dieckhaus, Allen, Mcnary, Dugger, Mcghee, Wilson (119), Pratt, Parkinson, Zerr, Dixon, Stevenson, Pollock, Day, Molendorp, Grisamore, Ruestman, Brandom, Flanigan, Fisher (125), Schad, Guernsey, Riddle, Largent, Leara, Schoeller, Diehl, Dethrow, Davis, Sutherland, Lair, Keeney, Wasson, Cooper, Faith, Sander, Parson, Kingery, Guest, Brown (149), Weter, Viebrock, Cunningham, Tracy, Nolte, Bruns, Franz, Nance, Flook, Loehner, Schlottach And Deeken (Co-Sponsors).

Looking at the District Map it becomes confusing with no clear geographical description, but basically ALL of SouthWest Missouri is on board with the exception of a few districts within Greene County, Barry County, Stone County, Most of Taney, and Ozark County. This is some of the poorest parts of Missouri along with Stoddard, Dunklin, Mississippi, New Madrid, and Pemiscot Counties. Of course there is the oft-maligned I70 corridor that trends Liberal, KC is a mish mash, St. Louis is mostly a loss.

If you live in one of the Liberal Areas put pressure on your representative to push this initiative, we citizens of Missouri should at least get to vote on it.

This is currently not listed on the calendar to go to a vote but with the majority party in control and almost all of them co-sponsoring look for a ballot initiative amend the Missouri Consititution to nullify the individual mandate of ZeroCare.

I had a very knowledgeable person tell me Nullification was non constitutional, I then asked him if the Individual mandate would be, and he said it was also non-constitutional.  So I say we fight fire with fire.

Also in the works is the re-affirmation of the Missouri’s Sovereignty under the 10th Amendment…stay tuned for that one when it is introduced.

If you Give a Mouse a Cookie…

mouse_325 Why is it so difficult for people, who admit to seeing what the goons in the District of Criminals are doing, to believe that those in DC will do MORE?  The answer is twofold, on one hand people Project their desires onto politicians and demand their pet cause be addressed, on the other hand when no limits are set and different voices call for different things and those in power get away with whatever they try then they begin to feel there are  no limits; indeed functionally there aren’t any.

First let us understand that once the District of Criminals is given the power to do one thing, they will do more.  Allow them to tax your property; soon they will tax your income. Allow them to tax your income; soon they will tax your benefits.  Allow them to provide your healthcare; they will feel compelled to control unhealthy things. Allow them to control the “unhealthy things” and soon everything will be declared “unhealthy”.

More, more, more, more, more, more, more.rat_2

They forget to declare a nanny or a gardener’s wages; and we do nothing.  So they or the next guy forgets he has a house in the Bahamas or in Ireland; and we do nothing. So then the other guy forgets to pay his taxes that he was reimbursed for anyway; and he gets promoted.  So then they up the ante again, and again, and again.  No limit.

A man associates with terrorists, thugs, and thieves, and we turn a blind eye; so why wouldn’t he think it was Ok to appoint some of those associates to positions in his administration?  He says that we are “five days away from fundamentally transforming this Nation” and we do nothing; then why would he not then think it was fine to go ahead and do that?  People didn’t listen and didn’t hear what he said, they heard what they wanted him to say.  They projected their and desires and beliefs onto him…

Once a person realizes that they have no limits placed on what they can do, it fans the flames on their desires and dreams. Once a person has demonstrated that they have no limits in area A; we must realize that they also have no limits in Area B.

Hypothetically let’s say I am an advocate of Gun Control.  I think all guns should be banned.  Once the government enacts that ban, why should I think they would not attempt to control something else?  The next person advocates for stricter drug laws, and so on and so on. That is to say, once we allow the government to control one thing; they will naturally think it is ok to control another thing.  I do not advocate anarchy; but we must take special care and be more vigilant, realizing that when we give government the power to control one thing we as individuals think is good, someone else also has pet causes and issues that we may not share. The resultant message that a politician gets is that the people as a whole want him to control many many things…and there are no limits.

Here is the human failure that allowed BHO and his merry band of radical criminals in control of this nation:

XmascandycanePeople want to project their values on likeable or public figures.  BHO said some nonsensical fluff but people HEARD what they wanted to hear.  BHO and Botoxi and Dingy Harry have demonstrated no limits to what they will attempt, because the people have not enforced any.  Yet, people project their own values onto them.  They say “surely they wouldn’t do that”, when nothing that these goons have done would logically lead us to believe that they indeed would not do that; quite the opposite, we have seen no evidence that they would limit themselves in any way.  But  we have consciences and limits and  we  would not dream of such illicit, unethical, or amoral behavior, so  we  project our values on people who have no such constraints, and indeed have not been taught those constraints by any experience they have had with we the people

If you give a mouse a cookie, he is going to want a glass of milk.  If you get him a glass of milk, he will want a straw, and if you give him a straw he will want a napkin to wipe his mouth.  If you give him a napkin to wipe his mouth; he will want a mirror…

My pet cause and my desire is for government to get out of my life, and to how-to-draw-jerry-the-mouse-from-tom-and-jerry-tutorial-drawing_copyleave me alone. Many people may say this, but the difference between me and a lot of people is not only do I want them out of MY life I want them out of your life as well; many people want them in your life, but out of theirs

Marinate on this a moment

If you don't buy health insurance once, it is a misdemeanor. Second time...misdemeanor.
Third time? Felony.

Convicted felons lose right to vote... And the right to bear arms.

I am just saying.

While we slept by Feed your ADHD

I am reposting this because I could not express what I am feeling any better. Dr. Dave, aka Snarky Basterd, already did the work for us.
Feed Your ADHD: while we F****** slept.

While we slept this morning, the real mobsters, the ones dishing out and accepting bribes in the District of Criminals, completely fucked our country along straight party lines (60-39) … with the first vote on Christmas Eve in more than a century.
Atlas just shrugged.
And the funny thing is, we didn’t sleep. We marched on our capitol buildings during the spring, leading up to TEA Party day on April 15. We screamed during townhall meetings and at local Congressional and Senate offices all summer long. We marched on Washington a million-plus strong in September. We stormed Congressional offices in the fall. We added more than a million signatures to a petition to Congress to stop this madness. We phoned and we blogged and we emailed and we snail mailed and we faxed and we twittered and we bled patriotism, pleading with them:
STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING AND USE YOUR LAST BRAIN CELL TO COME TO YOUR SENSES.
And they didn’t hear a fucking thing.
I don’t know how much more awake we could have been. I don’t know how much louder we could have screamed. I don’t know how many more ways we could have made our opposition known.
In the end, it didn’t matter. They think they know better than us. And now it’s done.
And that’s fine. Let them have their perceived notion of power. Let them slink back home for Christmas and get drunk on the stinking fumes of their “victory.” Let them dance wildly in the shimmery mirage of the “history” they’ve made.
Because now the real fight begins. The fight for November 2010 and 2012 and every forthcoming election thereafter. The fight to send these fuckers back to their homes, tattered and broken, never to be heard from again.
Be bloody angry. Let it burn in you. Let it harden your resolve. Use it to carry on and maintain your focus. Keep it close and keep it ready for when you need it, for when it will be your time to have your voice truly heard.
Get out your checkbooks and give to the organizations that will try to stop this un-Constitutional legislation in the courts. Beat the bushes and find real conservative candidates who are truly willing to honor the Constitution and write them checks and speak out on their behalf.
Then, when the time comes, scream so loudly with your finger in the voting booth that the Socialists will be shocked when the 7 p.m. newscasts declare them extinct.
We’re coming for you, fatcats. Enjoy your good times. Your days of thievery are done. Forever.

Claire McCaskill: Obama’s Joker / 2nd Worst Senator

The boys from Boystown at Hillbuzz are really gaining points with me.  Anyone who dislikes Claire automatically gets points in my book.  They already came out of the closet, now if we could just get them to out themselves as Conservatives and quit all this Hillary Loving I could really start to like them.  This is from them VIA GatewayPundit

Every Democrat who votes to ration healthcare is a Joker

This image should be put everywhere possible throughout Missouri for the next two years

Claire McCaskill, the second worst Senator alive today, is stirring rebellion in Missouri.

Across the state, images of Claire Bear as The Joker are popping up…caused by Missourians angry at her refusal to stop the government rationing of healthcare through Harry Reid’s dead of night, top secret, forced legislation.

Every single Democrat voting for this monstrous bill is a Joker.

This is not how legislation should be passed.  This is not the American way.  This is how the Soviet Union and banana republics operated.

McCaskill is not up for re-election until 2012, but we hope Missouri does not forget what she has done by then.  (we must never Forget)

We are all Batman today…and need to work hard to put McCaskill and her band of thugs out of business in 2010, 2012, and 2014…until every last one of The Gang of 60 is defeated.

Every. Last. One. Of. Them.

********

UPDATE:  Some of you wonder why Claire McCaskill is now just the Second-Worst Living Senator.  Previously, she has been listed as the Worst Living Senator in our book.  Harry Reid, in our opinion, nudged her out of her title a few weeks back when he started calling opponents of Healthcare Rationing RAAACISTS, and said that opposing what he was doing with this secret, middle of the night legislation was tantamount to supporting slavery.  That is so wrong, so inappropriate, and so patently INSANE that we couldn’t help but list him as the Worst of the Worst.  McCaskill will, no doubt, regain her title in November 2010 when Reid is booted from office…and she will retain that title until she, too, is removed from the Senate in 2012.

Keep up the good work Boys

Plan For Obama Care written by a Felon

Big h/t to Blackandgoldfan here

http://therightstuffbng.blogspot.com/2009/12/healthscare-felons-creation.html

Obamascare: A Felon's Creation

Big Government.com is now breaking the news that the game plan followed by the Dems to get socialized medicine passed was authored by a federal felon.

Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) has pushed for a public option within the healthcare debate. Now meet her husband, Robert Creamer.

From biggovernment.com:
Rep. Schakowsky’s husband, Robert Creamer, used to be the leader of Citizen Action/Illinois. He also founded its predecessor, Illinois Public Action, in which Ms. Schakowsky served as Program Director. He runs a political consulting firm, the Strategic Consulting Group, which lists ACORN and the SEIU among its clients and which made $541,000 working for disgraced former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich.

Creamer resigned from Citizen Action/Illinois after the FBI began investigating him for bank fraud and tax evasion at Illinois Public Action. He was convicted in 2006 and sentenced to five months in federal prison in Terre Haute, Indiana, plus eleven months of house arrest.

Now while Creamer was in prison, he wrote a book titled Listen to Your Mother: Stand Up Straight! How Progressives Can Win (Seven Locks Press, 2007). In it he outlines how to get socialized medicine rammed down the throats of the American people.

The ten points outlined by Creamer:

“We must create a national consensus that health care is a right, not a commodity; and that government must guarantee that right.”
“We must create a national consensus that the health care system is in crisis.”
“Our messaging program over the next two years should focus heavily on reducing the credibility of the health insurance industry and focusing on the failure of private health insurance.”
“We need to systematically forge relationships with large sectors of the business/employer community.”
“We need to convince political leaders that they owe their elections, at least in part, to the groundswell of support of [sic] universal health care, and that they face political peril if they fail to deliver on universal health care in 2009.”
“We need not agree in advance on the components of a plan, but we must foster a process that can ultimately yield consensus.”
“Over the next two years, we must design and organize a massive national field program.”
“We must focus especially on the mobilization of the labor movement and the faith community.”
“We must systematically leverage the connections and resources of a massive array of institutions and organizations of all types.”
“To be successful, we must put in place commitments for hundreds of millions of dollars to be used to finance paid communications and mobilization once the battle is joined.”
That was easy, wasn't it? Think about all the games played by the Dems in this battle of socialist proportions. They've followed this almost step-by-step.

More on this story will be hitting the web soon. Please read the article at biggovernment.com. It speaks volumes.

Btw....Schlakowsky and Creamer were in attendance at the "crashed" State Dinner. Could it be another political quid pro quo?

Healthcare Destruction one step closer. But, Thank you Kit Bond

Well our non-representative senators just barely squeaked the vote by to put the healthcare destruction to the debate. This is one step closer to passage and that is a foregone conclusion really at this point. At least ONE of Missouri's senators did the right thing.

"Move over, Bernie Madoff. Tip your hat to a trillion-dollar scam," said Sen. Kit Bond , R-Mo., likening the bill's supporters to the imprisoned investor who fleeced millions.

Russ Carnahan, Healthcare, SEIU Union Shill, Unfit For Washington

With a Big Hat Tip to STL tea party where much of this post came from, Here is a list of reasons that Russ Carnahan, along with the rest of the Carnahan Ilk need ran out of Missouri.

After Russ Carnahan’s SEIU thugs severely beat a conservative  the Congressman issued a statement  blaming the victim, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:

Carnahan issued a statement after the Thursday night’s forum, saying:

Black Power“Sadly we’ve seen stories about disrupters around the country, and we have a handful of them here in Missouri. Instead of participating in a civil debate, they have mobilized with special interests in Washington who have lined their pockets by overcharging Americans for a broken health care system.”

Carnahan’s shameful opportunism and inhuman disregard for the safety and health of Kenneth Gladney is beneath contempt.  His lies about the impetus and leadership of this movement are approaching libel.

Russ Carnahan is unfit for Congress.  He has disgraced the city of St. Louis, and the state of Missouri by using radical tactics to intimidate ordinary citizens who dare to disagree with his lord and master his high Barackness and her eminent Lordship Pelosi.

Russ Carnahan voted for a $750 Billion stimulus bill that he never read, promising that the bill would arrest unemployment at under 8 percent.  Unemployed is now 9.8 percent.

Russ Carnahan voted put thousands of Missouri small businesses out of business through Cap and Trade.

Russ Carnahan has sided with criminal union thugs over an innocent black man who was beaten, in part, because of his race.

Russ Carnahan was one of the Three Doucheketeers from Missouri along with Cleaver and Clay who voted for Nationalized Pelosi Healthcare.

Carnahan SSEIU

Full Details from multiple sources here : Russ Carnahan SEIU Gladney Beating Details and more here I am Kenneth Gladney, basics of the incident are below:

ON August 6, 2009 at Rep. Russ Carnahan's town hall meeting in South St. Louis County. Kenneth was approached by an SEIU representative as Kenneth was offering "Don't Tread on Me" flags to those exiting the gathering. The SEIU representative demanded to know why a black man was handing out these flags. The SEIU member used a racial slur against Kenneth, then :punched him in the face. Kenneth fell to the ground. Another SEIU member yelled racial epithets at Kenneth as he kicked him in the head and back. Kenneth was also attacked by one other male SEIU member and a woman. The three men were clearly SEIU members, as they were wearing T-shirts with the SEIU logo.

Help Me Unseat Russ Carnahan in 2010!

Healthcare: Everything is Free but Nothing is Readily Available

This is from one of my favoritist Bloggers in the whole world, KMBR.  I did add a few pictures. Otherwise, it is all her, in typical fantastic fashion.

“ Everything is Free but Nothing is Readily Available

Young Rondaldus MagnusOr so the old saying went about the former Soviet Union. Most Americans do not know and many would not even care the the former Soviet Union was the first country to have free healthcare as a "right" for all written into it's constitution. With the revolution and the Pollyann-ic belief that everyone could be made equal came the dismantling of what was the old Russian medical system into the new system ushered in by the Bolsheviks.
First let us remember that the Russian Revolution occurred in 1917. Life spans were shorter and life on the whole was harder. The system as it stood was basically a free market system of sorts. Doctors, who were highly educated and respected, were guaranteed a high standard of living. The people paid for the services. Doctors sometimes gave their services freely or accepted whatever could be offered as payment- livestock, leatherwork, food, etc.
Was it perfect? Is anything? A little known fact is that the Russian medical system and Russian medical research in the early 1900s was internationally recognized.

ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL...but some are more equal than others

Usher in Lenin and the Bolsheviks who tear it all down. Oh boy, is this ever starting to sound familiar? They tear it all down to rebuild it. Now everyone is equal and has access to the same medical care. The greedy doctors and the greedy rich can no longer have the best of this system. The system is gone. The private clinics are gone.
The doctors are no longer the best and the brightest but are chosen but virtue of status in the Soviet system. Yes, some animals were more equal than others. Enrollees into medical school were chosen by social class —worker, peasant, or intellectual. Not long after the Soviet affirmative action system was expanded to include gender and ethnic classifications also. Every class, gender, and ethnic group had a quota for admission into institutions of higher learning.

All this should be sounding very, very familiar by now. Very familiar. Obama Statist
Rather than choosing a physician, you were appointed to medical facilities in your area. You had no choice who you saw. Instead of the market dictating salaries and medical expenditures, they were now part of a fixed budget expense in the Soviet balance sheet. Doctors were put on fixed state salaries and required to see as many people as they saw fit or didn't see fit. What did it matter anyway? Getting rid of a bad doctor or a drunk doctor was virtually impossible in the now completely unionized, state owned system.

Universal Healthcare- CommunismDid the Bolsheviks or their class of elites use this medical system? Of course not. They had access to their own, special medical care complete with western technologies and medicines. They were not going to be subjected to the low par and filthy conditions of the people's system. As a side note, our leadership does not even give the pretense of pretending to subject themselves to the system they are forcing upon us.

sheep1_medium No Soviet citizen really knew much else. As a closed society, they were told they had the best of the best. They were told how fortunate they were because the American capitalist system had people dying in the streets. Those that knew better were either disposed of or kept their mouths shut to avoid being disposed of.

Everything is Free In short, by the end of the 20th century Soviet Russia had one of the poorest medical systems in the world. Now imagine the Soviet medical system in a world where say it could only be held up in comparison the the DHS in Britain or the Canadian system? Suddenly the bar is much lower and that is by design. One day it will be our children who believe they are receiving the best of the best and there will be nothing exceptional to compare with the substandard. It will be the norm if this is not stopped and, as was often the case in our history, it is the cognizant 30 percent among us that are the last vestige.

Representatives Cleaver, Clay, Carnahan, Vote Yes on Healthcare…

Normally I attempt to maintain a certain level of civility and decorum.  I shy away from profanity, I try to use logic, reason, and historical evidence to make well thought out arguments.  But for William Lacy Clay, Russ Carnahan, and Emanuel Cleaver II I have a message for you:

Carnahan:I just Stuck This Fist in the Ass of the American PeopleCleaver, Nancy said she would use a Stick this big  Clay: I am a Douche BAG!

I run a small blog.  I do not have a lot of money, and I have little chance of affecting any politicians outside this state.  But, Mark My Words You Worthless Sons of Bitches,  you better pray to whatever deity you believe in that you do not so much as FART IMPOLITELY . You better make sure you do not have any skeletons in your closet.  Because if I can find any dirt, any shred of malfeasance, or any impropriety to anything you do I will email every person I know and use my lowly twitter and blogger contacts to make for damn sure that everyone I know, knows what you did.  I hereby dedicate a large portion of my blogging life to ensuring that you never hold office again. Enjoy it while you can, scumbags.

You may live in fear of San Fran Nan right now, but, By Gawd, you WILL learn to fear a pissed off citizen.

eyes on youSo say your prayers, eat your vitamins, and live clean because the eyes of Missouri are upon you.

PS Claire McCaskill:Clay and McCaskill

When it comes to it, this goes for you too, because I know what you will do. Associates like the one pictured here are not helping your cause.
