Marinate on this a moment

If you don't buy health insurance once, it is a misdemeanor. Second time...misdemeanor.
Third time? Felony.

Convicted felons lose right to vote... And the right to bear arms.

I am just saying.

What an ongoing nightmare - anyway, have a merry Christmas!
Senator McConnell, (R)KY (not the state) actually worked behind the scenes to get this passed, in the believe that passage of this will win Republicans votes in 2010. I'm about to post on it shortly. To say that this made me angry is a massive understatement, especially when McConnell stood in front of the Senate and swore that the fight isn't over. He may be right about that, but his name should be right next to Benedict Arnold in history.
Good connecting of the dots. This is how the progressives work, Kook. While you're looking over here, they're pulling a trick over there. The founders understood it. It's nothing new--just human nature. This is why nobody (and no body) in America should have this much power.

Schmucky Schumer said that every state got special favors because every state is different, with its own issues. That dimwad just made an excellent case for classic federalism, where each state handles these matters and the federal government restricts itself to the responsibilities delegated to it by The People in The US Constitution.
How Depressing, but expected. These bums make me ill.
Oh well, Merry Christmas Kook and AD33. I hope we are still all
alive to enjoy the New Year and Decade.

KOOK...I've already figured this out. I could save $11,000-$12,000 a year (by the CBO's 2014 estimates of the cost of "insurance" under the Senate plan) if I tell the Democrats to shove this crap up their well-used behinds and pay their measly 2% penalty. Now, I'm a family man, and I'll do what's best for my family ... but what of the millions of young professionals who see health insurance as a waste of cash now? They'll be taking the 2% hit too. Nice job of thinking it through, Zombiecrats.

Regardless, KOOK, and Joel, it's been a pleasure to meet you on the blogosphere in this terrible year of 2009 and I look forward to many more of your posts and conversations with you and (at some point) meeting you in person in 2010, as we take this country back from these thieves.
