Even the liberal establishment commentariate are practically calling this a suicide mission. We've really gone off the rails. Particularly juicy is how Ben Nelson got Nebraska exempted from the affects of the bill he voted for.

I don't know why more people aren't angry about this.

It is sickening

I think people are at the point where they are just quietly telling themselves, wait until election day as it is no more use fighting these loons. They obviously could care less about the people they represent so why call them. Why complain to them...the American people know that their day to speak out with finality is next November and anything said to the loons running the asylum between now and then is a waste. If the people weren't fed up, why is there now a quiet boycott happening with the liberal networks and their media owned news channels? People are turning off NBC so fast that Soros and Immelt now have no use for it. Also, to get the healthcare bill passed, Reid had to totally gut the bill. The communists are furious that they got nothing they want in the senate bill. Yet fellow (to me) Christian conservatives are furious that any language was left in about funding abortion with taxpayer $, so this again is a loser for both sides and blame falls squarely on the Democrats. On top of that, this ends any hope of an economic recovery before the midterms, so here lies a great opportunity for Dems to campaign on their accomplishments in the last 2 years in 2010. The beauty of this is that we may just get a big enough majority in congress to push through the building of Nuclear power plants, offshore drilling and a real pro-small business agenda while Obama is dragged into it kicking and screaming. That would be justice served and would be exactly how we could pay off the national debt in 10 years.
With all the billion dollar bills for yes votes, Claire would you please tell me how this was deficit neutral?

IT'S NOT Senator McCaskill. Claire McCaskill lied to all Missourians!

It's defecit neutral because Obama can print enough money to make it so.
Exactly. Just get Time's man o' the year Ben "ink stain" Bernanke to print em up
Have you heard anything about Crist and the FL Republican party and this "high speed rail" crap? Crist pushed it through, leaving a deep spilt in the FL Republican party. We are going to use "Obama" money to start the project. It is only estimated at $10 million per mile once completed. Once the Obama money dries up, guess who pays to finish that project? (note*. We already have government subsidized rail between WPB and Miami that is totally unused and only blocks traffic). Remember when Obama came to Miami for a fundraiser. and Crist didn't know about it publicly, e-mails revealed that he did know and in fact did much of the organizing of Obamas visit. See, the money train was the real agenda there and now everyone knows it which is why Rubio is tied or ahead of Crist in statewide polls now. I will post on it later, doubt I'll have time today, but The point is that Claire Bear is not the only naughty politician in bed with Obama. ( any perceived insult towards Crist's sexual orientation was very deliberate.)

Very interesting. I look forward to the post. Claire infuriates me because she just smiles and does whatever she wants no matter the polling.
railroads are 19th century technology no matter how fast they go or how many rails they use. they are good for transit in cities but for interstitial travel, they should go away.

The thing is, South, Central and North Florida are so different, that folks in N.Florida dont want to come to S.Florida. Folks in Central Florida think that N.Florida is full of rednecks and S.Florida is a 3rd world country, so there is very little desire overall to go to such parts of the State unless you are on your way to somewhere else. So the train will be a money pit that will never pay for itself.
