Marinate on this a moment

If you don't buy health insurance once, it is a misdemeanor. Second time...misdemeanor.
Third time? Felony.

Convicted felons lose right to vote... And the right to bear arms.

I am just saying.

So Where Do I stand on the issues?

usa-eagle-800 My partner in crime asked Where do you Stand on issues the other day, and it is a great question. I started to answer just to clarify MY positions and it got too long for the comment section.

gop_logo2_bo21 When I started this blog I would have to say I thought I was what commonly passes for Republican these days. The more I have discussed and aired my thoughts here and studied and read, the more I realize I am Constitutionally Libertarian. So in a nutshell here is my stance on the issues:
Fedzilla Fiscal Policy - Leave us alone. Free Market Capitalism is the way, the truth, and the light when it comes to fiscal policy. The government is the problem not the solution. Audit the Fed, Get rid of the Fed.

Freedom of Speech, Lady Justice Freedom of speech - this means freedom of all speech even that which we disagree with and do not like or that which makes us uncomfortable. This means Fox news and even MSNBC news.

Freedom of Religion Freedom of Religion- not freedom from, even those ideologies that we do not agree with , as long as those people believing those ideologies can live peaceably with us and not blow up our planes, trains, automobiles, and buildings, or Kill our kids. Free to choose any religion, even none, realizing that this nation was founded on strong Judeo Christian traditions.

Gun Control

Second Amendment - Leave us Alone. It is plainly said in the constitution and there is a reason why. I have perfect gun control thank you: the ability to hit the target, and a good two hand weaver stance.

BABY Abortion- LIFE, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. Duh. I do not know exactly where life begins, but in lieu of knowing I will side with Life. It is totally illogical to be pro-abortion and anti-KFC

taxes Taxes - will never be low enough.

reaganwelfare Entitlements - breed cultures of dependency and need to be slowly and methodically scaled back and controlled. OASDI will not be there when I need it anyway, start letting me pay for my ancestors as well as save for MY future.

Global_Warming Anthropogenic Climate Change - Good story, right up there with Hansel and Gretel and the Three Little Pigs. All three are to get children and mental midgets to do something someone else wants them to do.

Fight like the 300 Wars- IF...IF, they are important enough to fight, fight hard, win decisively and come home quickly. Strike fear into the enemies heart and break his will to wage war and you won't have as many people trying to start stuff with you.

United Nations UN - keep them here and keep an eye on them, but never take them seriously.

illegal_aliens-amnesty2 Immigration - I am for all the LEGAL immigration we can stand. I am in favor of making it easier to obtain work authorization. But the line forms over there and no cutting, the rest of you go back the the end of the line, cross our border illegally again and we will shoot you.

School Choice Education - leave my damn kid alone, you can't run the post office, DMV, balance a checkbook, read a bill, tell the truth, obey the law, or pay your taxes. Leave my Kid alone. Vouchers are a good idea, let parents vote with their feet, and their school tax dollars. Then the schools that PERFORM will SUCCEED.

Unions Unions- there was a time, fifty years ago, when Unions were a good thing. Now they are just PACs and Criminal Organizations that feed off of hard working people like a tick. They need to go the way of the dodo.

Universal Healthcare- Communism Healthcare - Leave me alone. Tort Reform, Entitlement reform, EMS reform, less insurance restrictions. That would help healthcare. What the Fed wants to do is not about healthcare or health insurance but about consolidating control and power.

tl-drill_here_drill_now_stickers Energy, for heaven’s sake drill here, drill now. All the Cars running on wishful thinking is not going to happen this decade or probably in the next two. So let's quit running ourselves into bankruptcy and prevent our economy grinding to a halt. Let's stop funding those entities which do not have our best interests at heart. Let's create some jobs in this country. No Smart grid, that is just like Government Healthcare, a joke and lever of control. Build some Nuclear power plants, they are good enough for China and France, why are they not good enough for us?

Load and Make Ready!

Rounding out my membership into the RWBCNJ* club I thought I would post some of my Tools of Evil Destruction(TM)…also known as Guns to all the rest of you, my comrades in arms. I do not know why I have been remiss thus far in sharing these with the rest of the group. I shared pics of the Boat, the Tractor, and the 4x4…this is all that is left other than a cooler of beer. Then my credentials as a RWBCNJ Redneck will be complete. I won’t share all the pics at once that way if any of our friends of the more liberal persuasion see this they won’t go into shock and run hysterically screaming from the room. It is not my intention to scare anyone.

img201 img200

Just bought this TO-DAY. My first foray into the “scary black guns” It is a Hi Point 9mm Carbine. It shoots SA-Weet. Burned about 100 rounds through it today. My ears are still ringing. A Flashlight and a red-dot scope are definitely on the list.

img204

Due to the fact I have a surgically repaired shoulder I get to play with these too. Cross-bows are bad ass. Silent and deadly. Just the way I like it.

img202

Remington model 742 in 30.06. I actually have matching ones. Because one 30.06 just is not enough. In the picture here it is snuggling up to the new ‘9.

img209

Here is one you won’t see every day. On the left is a Bolt Action 16 Ga. Shotgun that belonged to my Pappy…er…Maternal Grandfather to any of the elitists still with us. To the right of that is my .50 cal Muzzle Loader.

img211

And lastly, for this post, (and I had to go downstairs to the other gun case for this one) is my .22-250. You know for those long distance calls. Nothing like shattering everlasting gobstoppers at 200 yards. Who knew they exploded when hit by a tiny projectile traveling a coupla times the speed of sound?

So….there is a few of my odes to the second amendment. What d’y’all think?

Could it happen in the USA? - Tony Martin

Anthony Edward Martin (born 1944) is a farmer from Norfolk, England, who in 1999 killed one burglar, and wounded another, who had invaded his home. He was subsequently convicted of murder. As a result, he became a cause célèbre for some, and polarized opinions in the UK.[1]

Burglary and shooting

In 1999 Martin was living in an isolated farmhouse in Emneth Hungate, Norfolk. He claimed to have been burgled several times, losing £6,000 worth of furniture. Martin also complained about police inaction over the burglaries. Police sources, however, have expressed doubts that all these incidents took place.

On the night of 20 August 1999, two burglars - Brendon Fearon, 29, and Fred Barras, 16 – entered Martin’s home. When confronted, they attempted to flee through a window, but were shot by Martin - Fearon in the leg, and Barras in the back. Fearon was able to leave and obtain aid from a couple that lived near the house. He was then taken into hospital, where he was treated. Martin subsequently left the farm and fled to his mother's house, where he hid the firearm. Later that evening, he arrived at a local inn and stayed for the night. Barras was later found dead on the grounds by a police dog.

Murder trial

On 23 August 1999, Martin was charged with the murder of Barras, the attempted murder of Fearon, "wounding with intent to cause injury" to Fearon, and "possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life".

The jury at the trial were told that they had the option of returning a verdict of manslaughter rather than murder, if they thought that Martin "did not intend to kill or cause serious bodily harm".[4] However, they found Martin guilty of murder by a 10 to 2 majority.[5]

He was sentenced to life in prison, the mandatory sentence for murder under English law.

Appeal

An appeal was considered in October 2001 by three senior judges. Submissions by the defense that Martin had fired in self defense were rejected by the appeal court. However, on this occasion the defense submitted evidence that Martin suffered paranoid personality disorder specifically directed at anyone intruding into his home. (I think I have that too!) This submission was accepted by the Court of Appeal and, on the grounds of diminished responsibility, Martin's murder conviction was replaced by manslaughter carrying a five year sentence, and his ten year sentence for wounding Fearon was cut to three years. These sentences were to run concurrently.

Parole applications and release

Martin was imprisoned in Highpoint Prison, Suffolk. When he became eligible for parole and early release, the Parole Board rejected his application without stating a reason. The chairman of the parole board, Sir David Hatch, in an interview with The Times described Martin as "a very dangerous man" who may still believe his action had been right. Martin challenged the decision in the High Court, where the parole board's decision was upheld. Probation officers on Martin's cases said there was an "unacceptable risk" that Martin might again react with excessive force if other would-be burglars intruded on his Norfolk farm.

On 28 July 2003, Martin was released after serving a total of three years of his five year sentence, the maximum period for which he could be held following good behavior.

Compensation claim

During 2003, Fearon applied for, and received, an estimated £5,000 of legal aid to sue Martin for loss of earnings due to the injury he sustained. However, the case was thrown into doubt when photographs were published in The Sun suggesting that Fearon's injuries were not as serious as had been claimed. Fearon later dropped the case when Martin agreed to drop a counter-claim.

It has been claimed that Fearon's supporters have put a bounty on Martin's head of several tens of thousands of pounds. Martin sold his version of the story to the Daily Mirror for a reputed sum of £125,000.

Stupid Is as Stupid Does

HARTFORD, Conn. -- The Connecticut Senate on Thursday approved a measure that would ban children under 16 years old from handling or shooting machine guns. The legislation, which passed on a 31-2 vote, stems from the October death of an 8-year-old Ashford boy who accidentally shot himself in the head with an Uzi at a Massachusetts gun show."For a young person, a minor, to handle an automatic weapon ... it's like saying that it's OK to pick up a rattlesnake and that it is somehow going to be safe," said Senate President Donald E. Williams Jr., D-Brooklyn. "It's not going to be safe and it should not be legal and I would think that a lot of folks would be shocked that there was not a law." read the rest of this nonsense

1. Let go ahead and make it a law that 8 year olds should not juggle chainsaws. Let’s make a law that 8 year olds shouldn’t wrestle gorillas. Let’s make a law that 8 year olds shouldn’t drink and drive while talking on the cell phone and juggling knives.

THIS IS STUPID

2.Lets use a law already on the books. How about Child Endagerment or Negligence on the part of the PARENT. “no matter how many times I told little Rufus not to play with the fully automatic loaded machine guns, he was always playin with em!” what KIND OF IDIOT …never mind, you get the point.

3.And the reason they will not hold the parent responsible is because the Government does not want parents to be responsible, the Government wants to be responsible for children

4.Why was the gun loaded at the gun show?

5.So they expect us to believe that a parent, and a gun trader allowed a loaded machine pistol to be handled by an 8 year old child, never dawning on these two geniuses that it might not be a good idea, but a LAW is going to stop it?
“Well Rastus, I would like to let you play with the fully loaded machine gun, but it is against the law” COME ON!

6.The metaphor here is all wrong as well. I could take the average 8 year old and in an afternoon educate that child, guide and direct that child, in short, Parent that child, in such a way that a loaded gun would be no more a danger to them than any other extremely powerful tool. I do not care what you say, handle rattlesnakes long enough you will get bit. Take reasonable care and you can handle guns your whole life and not get hurt.

7.And seriously what difference if it was an UZI or a single shot .22 rifle. Kid picks up a gun in the middle of a gun show (still want to know why it was loaded) and shoots himself in the head, he is just as dead. One gun is not really that much different from another in that regard…which brings me to my next point

8.This is step one. There is now a law on the books banning certain people from handling certain guns. Now watch the Judicial and Legislative creep begin.

9. Lastly...what...do we have to have a law for everything? I am not shocked there was not a law against this. I am also not shocked there is not a law against using your child for alligator bait either...maybe we need that law too?

10. So everything that is not safe must be illegal? That is the thinking folks...and therein lies our downfall. Once again, reminds me of Demolition Man. "salt has been deemed bad for you, therefore it is not good, and anything not good for you has been banned"

BUT IT IS “FOR THE CHILDREN!” Gag me with a spoon. "THIS CANNOT HAPPEN AGAIN, NOT IN AMERICA!" look, as long as there are stupid people, there are going to be tragedies. once again, google "Eugenics" that is where these fools will lead us.

Some people are just too stupid to be among us.

Ok, I was going to write my own opinion on this, but it is in a video link, so I needed a transcript. I found a transcript of the conversation on http://hobbesian.blogspot.com and he made all the points that I was planning on making...so...I give him a big thumbs up, and repost his post below. Great blog, check it out.

For those of you who can't view video, I've done a quick transcript of the conversation:

Tucker Carlson: In February you introduced the assault weapons ban and law enforcement protection act of 2007. It would regulate semiautomatic assault weapons, including weapons that have pistol grips, a forward grip and something called a "barrel shroud." Weapons with a "barrel shroud" would be regulated. What's a barrel shroud, and why should we regulate it?

Carolyn McCarthy: I think... I think the more important thing is that it also would have banned the high capacity clips

TC: Right

CM: ...that Colin Ferguson used and also the killer. But we're talking about...

TC: Okay. But I read the legislation. I'm sorry. I read the legislation it said it would regulate "barrel shrouds." What is a barrel shroud and why should we regulate it?

CM: The guns that were chosen back in... in those days were basically the guns that most gangs and criminals were using to kill our police officers. I'm not saying it was the best bill. But that was the best bill we could get out at that particular time...

TC: Do you know what a barrel shroud is?

CM: I actually don't know what a barrel shroud is. TC: Okay. Because it's in your legislation.

CM: I believe it's the shoulder thing that goes up. TC: No. It's not.

So there we have it, fearless readers. Carolyn McCarthy doesn't even understand what she's trying to ban. She doesn't even understand the language of gunsmithing well enough to hazard a coherent guess. Given a rudimentary understanding of the english language, what in the words "barrel shroud" suggest anything to do with a "shoulder thing that goes up?" Carolyn McCarthy literally doesn't even know the difference between a barrel and a stock, which means she doesn't know which end of the gun is dangerous. Why is she trying to ban them?Because someone told her they sound scary, that's why. For the education of the few of you who might not know what a barrel shroud is, I'll elucidate. A barrel shroud is a shroud that envelopes the barrel of a gun. It's generally comprised of a tube that surrounds (or "shrouds") the barrel, and it usually has holes in it. The purpose of a barrel shroud is to dissipate heat more efficiently. As a target shooter, I can tell you that even firing at a rate of 100 rounds per hour can leave your barrel a tad warm. Hot barrels are inconsistent because hot metal is softer than cold metal, which means that "barrel whip" (a microscopic oscillation of the barrel that occurs after firing that can really ruin your X-ring streak) is worse with a hot barrel. On a practical level, though, barrel shrouds on semi-automatic firearms are mostly cosmetic. They have no effect on the rate of fire, and no practical effect on the volume of fire. They add bulk and weight, and don't really help your typical shooter much. Barrel shrouds are useful for machine guns because they help keep the barrel from melting when you're putting hundreds of rounds per minute through them, but there are perhaps two or three people in the world that can fire at a rate approaching that with a semi-automatic firearm, and they're all professional exhibition shooters; and they can't sustain that rate of fire for more than six to ten rounds. A barrel shroud does NOT make the gun easier to conceal. It does NOT make the gun more dangerous, fire more promiscuously, or for longer periods of time. It does NOT attach to the "shoulder thingie" nor does it "go up".

It's difficult to carry on a conversation about "reasonable restrictions" when the other side doesn't even know what they're trying to ban.

All I can add to that is "Amen".

Two paragraphs in the DHS Report that do make sense

DHS Report On Right Wing Extremism

I have learned that there is some spin going both ways with this report. This text is directly from the report. While a lot of it is horse squeeze or hogwash, some of it makes a lot of sense. And it confirms what I have thought regarding the ammo and primer shortages.

(U//FOUO) On the current front, legislation has been proposed this yearrequiring mandatory registration of all firearms in the United States. Similarlegislation was introduced in 2008 in several states proposing mandatory tagging and registration of ammunition. It is unclear if either bill will be passed into law; nonetheless, a correlation may exist between the potential passage of gun control legislation and increased hoarding of ammunition, weapons stockpiling, and paramilitary training activities among rightwing extremists.

(U//FOUO) Open source reporting of wartime ammunition shortages has likely spurred rightwing extremists—as well as law-abiding Americans—to make bulk purchases ofammunition. These shortages have increased the cost of ammunition, furtherexacerbating rightwing extremist paranoia and leading to further stockpiling activity. Both rightwing extremists and law-abiding citizens share a belief that rising crime rates attributed to a slumping economy make the purchase of legitimate firearms a wise move at this time.

(U//FOUO) Weapons rights and gun-control legislation are likely to be hotly contested subjects of political debate in light of the 2008 Supreme Court’s decision in District of Columbia v. Heller in which the Court reaffirmed an individual’s right to keep and bear arms under the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, but left open to debate the precise contours of that right. Because debates over constitutional rights are intense, and parties on all sides have deeply held, sincere, but vastly divergent beliefs, violent extremists may attempt to co-opt the debate and use the controversy as a radicalizationtool.

Beware the Bitter Clingers

The Department of Homeland Security is warning law enforcement agencies that recent news

Translation: crap the government is doing or talking about doing

is helping "right-wing extremist groups" recruit new members and could lead to violence, and warns about the possible recruitment and radicalization of returning veterans.

gotta watch those "army men" they are dangerous.

DHS' Office of Intelligence and Analysis issued an intelligence assessment last week that said it has no specific information that domestic right-wing terrorists are currently planning acts of violence, but right-wing extremists may be gaining new recruits by playing on fears about the recession and the election of the first African American president.

It is because we are racists, not because the Government is turning Socialist...nah...racists.

The office called them "unique drivers for right-wing radicalization and recruitment."
"Right-wing extremists have capitalized on the election of the first African American president, and are focusing their efforts to recruit new members, mobilize existing supporters and broaden their scope and appeal through propaganda, but they have not yet turned to attack planning," the assessment reads.

So the racists are recruiting but have not yet become violent. Because you know, violence is a foregone conclusion. This has to do with a liberal mindset. Remember who is head of the DHS now.

"The current economic and political climate has some similarities to the 1990s when right-wing extremism experienced a resurgence fueled largely by an economic recession, criticism about the outsourcing of jobs and the perceived threat to U.S. power and sovereignty by other foreign powers.," it continues.

Ya Damn Right...it also has to do with Gun Bans/hyper taxation, Nationalized Health care, Government Overspending, Moral Relativism, Transnationalism, and Amnesty...but why add fuel to the fire? At least this proves they understand some of our grievances.

The report also suggests that returning veterans are attractive recruits for right-wing groups looking for "combat skills and experience" so as to boost their "violent capabilities."

Could it also be that after putting one's life on the line for the country they get more irritable with stupid politicians selling out our nation and bankrupting us?

It adds that new restrictions on gun ownership ...

did I miss something? I didnt think any of those had passed yet...

and the difficulty of veterans to reintegrate into their communities "...

huh?

could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks."

of course so could anything else... I hate it when McDonalds forgets my straw for example.

"Proposed imposition of firearms restrictions and weapons bans likely would attract new members into the ranks of right-wing extremist groups ...

no way! normal citizens love it when liberals crap on the constituion

The high volume of purchases and stockpiling of weapons and ammunition by right-wing extremists in anticipation of restrictions and bans in some parts of the country continue to be a primary concern to law enforcement," the report says.

Everyone who buys a weapon or ammunition is a Right wing extremist now? Sign me up

They would never question WHY people would stockpile. It is not in preparation of Offense, it is in preparation of Defense, and most people I know and talk to are not worried about Defense against the Government (which would be more than suicidal) they are concerned about the crime wave and anarchy that will come when the citizenry is disarmed and the country goes bankrupt; welfare checks quit rollin in, prices skyrocket due to hyperinflation, Joblessness gets into the teens and Illegals flood across the border when Mexico fails as a Nation. They are concerned about protecting their property against the lawless. Not the Government. We know they are not going to do a round up of all guns, they are going to tax it out of existence, that is the reason for the rush. And this report seems to validate the reasoning behind the stockpiling.

....

Some critics have said the DHS is equating conservative views to right-wing terrorism,

Ya think?

but a DHS official countered that in January the department issued a mirror intelligence assessment of left-wing extremist groups.

so...what... be afraid of everyone? In January...Left wing...they were all obamogasming then...

"This is the job of DHS, to assess what is happening in this country, with regard to homegrown terrorism, and determine whether it's an actual threat or not, and that's what these assessments do. This is nothing unusual. These assessments are done all the time. This is about awareness," the official told FOX News on Monday.

uh...huh....

DHS spokeswoman Sara Kuban said the April 7 assessment is one in an ongoing series published by DHS "to facilitate a greater understanding of radicalization in the United States."

looking for radicals eh? William Ayers, Louis Farrakhan, Jeremiah Wright, some guy living at 1600 PA Ave....

"DHS has no specific information that domestic right-wing terrorists are currently planning acts of violence, but right-wing extremists may be gaining new recruitments by playing on their fears about several emerging issues," Kuban said.

Well if the issues are emerging then I guess our fears are correct. I do not advocate violence at all, but neither am I a Sheeple.

Nancy Pelosi: Stalin in a Skirt.

This post was just too good from Clay on his BBCW's Blog. I had to share it with you. His Blog is really superb, and if you have not checked it out you should.

Gun Grabber Nancy Pelosi Seeking National Gun Registration
Nancy Pelosi has gun grabbing on her agenda. The Speaker recently advocated that all guns in America should be registered with the Federal Government. On Good Morning America, the Speaker said, “we want them registered. We don’t want them crossing state lines…”
The Democrats are creating chaos with the Second Amendment much like they have started chaos with many other sectors and laws during Obama’s short reign. It’s becoming clear Americans are in for the fight of their lives to protect their Second Amendment rights, and it’s clear the 90 million gun owners know what’s coming as the stock up on ammunition. Walmart will fill the shelves with ammo and it’s empty within two hours. This isn’t coincidental. The Democrats have created an anti-gun atmosphere unlike any in history.
Out government is blaming violence in Mexico on American gun manufacturers and owners—not the drug users who purchase the meth and cocaine coming up through Mexico. This is one of the most alarming parts of this coming war against your gun rights. Suddenly we have all these incidents of gun violence as the Democrats push harder for more gun control. It’s almost as if they are set up so they can make their case. Why should you not think this way? This is the same party that registered voters seventy times through their taxpayer-funded front known as ACORN. These are the same people that had ACORN get on the busses to protest the ACORN riots against AIG bonuses. This is the same party that placed votes in a car in Minnesota to put the diaper boy (Al Franken) ahead of Norm Coleman for the Senate race. You don’t believe they are capable of poisoning food to pass the Food Safety Act or create violence to make the case to take away our guns? I put nothing past these scoundrels like Pelosi. Their vision of America doesn’t sit well with most of the country, so therefore they manipulate to make their cases.
Be prepared gun owners. It’s about to get ugly. Remember, every time a central government has registered guns, those guns were soon confiscated.

Kook: I have "seen this train a-comin" for a while now, as some of you may have read in Previous postes. Nancy Pelosi is Evil. Stalin in a Skirt. Hitler with a Facelift. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot? Across state lines?!? If the Liberals thought us "Bitter Clingers" went nuts over Amnesty, Cap and Trade, and Healthcare, wait till they get a load of this.

In the immortal words of many of my friends in the great Republic Of Texas: "Come and Get em"

More Bad news for the Second Amendment

The horrible and tragic killing of 13 people in NY yesterday by a deranged man who had been fired from IBM

Today we have 3 police officers killed in Pittsburg as a result of a domestic dispute.

These are horrible events. It truly saddens me, as it does everyone in America. But it is only one side of the issue. When is the news going to begin reporting the horrible crimes that are averted due to armed citizens? Statistics are out there.

If the other side of the story does not come out, if the news media does not start reporting on the heroes who stop the death of innocents are not reported on, then it is going to create such a populist sentiment against gun ownership that the vote will be swift and easily made to disarm our citizens.

Even on FOX news, the reporting is not favorable to the second amendment.

It is coming.

Gun laws in other Countries.

Lets look at some of the Gun laws in other countries of the world, I already covered Mexico in the last post, their gun control laws are super strict and yet the LACK of gun control laws in our country is the reason Mexican Criminals have guns?! It is our fault they are in near anarchy and are killing scores of people daily?

Guatemala: no gun control laws that I could find

Honduras: no gun control laws that I could find

El Salvador: no gun control laws that I could find

Brazil

All firearms in Brazil are required to be registered with the state; the minimum age for ownership is 25[3] and it is generally illegal to carry a gun outside a residence.[4] The total number of firearms in Brazil is thought to be around 17 million[4] with 9 million of those being unregistered.[3] Some 39,000 people died in 2003 due to gun-related injuries nationwide. In 2004, the number was 36,000.[3] Although Brazil has 100 million fewer citizens than the United States, and more restrictive gun laws, there are 25 percent more gun deaths;other sources indicate that homicide rates due to guns are approximately four times higher than the rate in the United States.[6] Brazil has the second largest arms industry in the Western Hemisphere. Approximately 80 percent of the weapons manufactured in Brazil are exported, mostly to neighboring countries; many of these weapons are then smuggled back into Brazil. Some firearms in Brazil come from police and military arsenals, having either been "stolen or sold by corrupt soldiers and officers."

So NONE of these countries could possibly be selling arms to the Mexicans. Likewise China nor Russia could NEVER be selling guns to Mexico. Surely they would not be coming out of Central or South America. I will just add the following for fun:

In late 2007 the European Union lawmakers adopted a legislative report to tighten gun control laws and establish an extensive firearms database. Passed with overwhelming backing, the tough new gun control rules were "hoped to prevent Europe from becoming a gun-friendly culture like the United States.”

Get ready the all out assault on the 2nd amendment IS coming...wait and see

I want to share three bullet points. Then a news story from Germany as the perfect example as to why it will never work.

> The tragic shootings in Samson Alabama. Truly a tragic story. The shooter used several different weapons including an SKS (chinese made semi auto approximately 30 caliber gun), an AR-15 (semi auto .223 caliber gun) and a .38 handgun ( a police caliber weapon I might add - that is how they will spin it)

> Top news story right now is the killing of 8 people in a Nursing Home in North Carolina. Tragic awful story. The story quotes that it was a “deer gun” so that is not good. I would like to point out that a "deer gun" is anything from a .243 to a 7mm and range from single shot guns to lever action to bolt action to semi auto, cartridge designs dating from 1830 to 2007.

> Last week Hillary was in Mexico blaming the United States for the drug problem and the arms trafficking in Mexico. So it is our fault that Mexico is on the brink of collapse from the drug lords because of OUR guns.

Guns and ammunition have been strictly banned in Mexico since the notoriously bloody Mexican Revolution nearly 100 years ago. According to gun control advocates, this outright ban on gun ownership should have reduced crime in Mexico—especially gun crime—to virtually zero. Yet, that is clearly not the case.

Clinton says that 90% of guns in Mexico are smuggled in from the United States, a statistic provided by the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms. In the United States the vast majority of guns are not banned, and in Texas and New Mexico (the two states nearest the bloodshed in Juarez), gun restrictions are almost non-existent

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Talking to Greta Van Susteren:

"...it would inaccurate to absolve ourselves of responsibility or to absolve the Mexicans of responsibility. This is a shared responsibility. We share the border. And as you rightly said, the demand for illegal drugs is what keeps these guys in business. And it's a, you know, multi-billion-dollar, $25-plus billion industry.
The guns that are sold in the United States, which are illegal in Mexico, get smuggled and shipped across our border and arm these terrible drug-dealing criminals so that they can outgun these poor police officers along the border and elsewhere in Mexico.
So we've got to help out here...We can't stand by ...when a lot of the money is laundered in the United States back into the hands of the drug kingpins, and when the weapons have come from our country. So I think recognizing the co-responsibility is just stating the obvious."

So get ready. It is all there in the news. It is a matter of time before the Progressives POUNCE.

Now I want to share parts of another story. This is from March 12th, 2009

German School Shooter Warned Of Attack
WAIBLINGEN, Germany (AP) ―

The 17-year-old gunman who went on a rampage at his former school and killed 15 people before taking his own life gave a warning in an Internet chatroom only hours earlier and said he was "sick of this life," officials said Thursday.

Suspect Tim K. told others in the chat room he planned to attack his school in Winnenden, said Baden Wuerttemburg state Interior Minister Heribert Rech.

Rech said the suspect wrote, "You will hear from me tomorrow, remember the name of a place called Winnenden."

In the first indication of a motive in the shooting, Rech said the teenager told others in the German-language chat room that: "Everyone laughs at me, nobody recognizes my potential."

"I'm serious. ... I have a weapon here," Rech said the youth wrote. "Early tomorrow morning I will go to my former school."

Investigator Siegfried Mahler said authorities had learned that the suspect was treated for depression in 2008, but had no further details.

Despite the high death toll, the shooting could have been worse if the principal of the high school had not been able to warn teachers with a prearranged code over the public address system when the suspect burst into the school.

After the suspect entered the school in Winnenden on Wednesday morning and opened fire, the principal put the emergency plan in effect, quickly broadcasting a coded message to teachers: "Frau Koma is coming," students told German media.

In German the word "amoklauf" is used to describe school shootings, and "koma" is the reverse of the word "amok." Hetger said the coded alert was worked out by German educators after a deadly school shooting in Erfurt in 2002 as a way to warn teachers.

Hetger said that police in Baden-Wuerttemburg had received special training that involved sending small teams into the building in the event of a school shooting, as happened on Wednesday.

He credited this, coupled with the warning from the principal, for preventing further deaths.

Although the gunman shot at the officers as they entered the building, they succeeded in chasing him from the premises.

After he escaped, he hijacked a car and was eventually caught in a police shootout. The rampage ended with 15 victims slain and the assailant taking his own life, authorities said.

Local police spokesman Nik Brenner said that authorities had found 60 shell casings in the school.

The dark-haired teen, shown wearing glasses in pictures on German television, apparently took the weapon from his father's collection of 15 firearms along with a "multitude of ammunition," police said. His father, a businessman, was a member of the local gun club and kept the weapons locked away except for the pistol, which was kept in the bedroom.

So … this in a country with some of the MOST STRICT gun laws in Europe. And apparently this type of thing happens enough that both the schools and the police have trained for it…the article mentions another shooting in 2002 Below is the summary of the gun laws in Germany.

After 1945, the Allied Forces commanded the complete disarming of Germany. Even German police officers were initially not allowed to carry firearms. Private ownership of firearms was not allowed until after 1956. The legal status returned essentially to that of the Law on Firearms and Ammunition of 1928. The regulation of the matter was thoroughly revised in 1972, when the new Federal Weapons Act (Bundeswaffengesetz) became effective.

In Germany the possession of any firearm with a fire energy exceeding 7.5 Joule requires a valid firearms ownership license for any particular weapon. The current Federal Weapons Act adopts a two-tiered approach to firearms licensing.

A firearms ownership license (Waffenbesitzkarte) must be obtained before a weapon can be purchased. Owners of multiple firearms need separate ownership licenses for every single firearm they own. It entitles owners to purchase firearms and handle them on their own property and any private property with property owner consent. On public premises, a licensed firearm must be transported unloaded and in a stable, fully enclosing, locked container. A weapons ownership license does not entitle the owner to shoot the weapon or carry it on public premises without the prescribed container. Firearms ownership licenses are valid three years or less, and owners must obtain mandatory insurance and a means to securely store the weapon on their premises (a weapons locker.) Blanket ownership licenses are sometimes issued to arms dealers.

A number of criteria must be met before a firearms ownership license is issued:

age of consent (18 years for rimfire calibers/21 years for higher calibers) (§ 4 WaffG)
trustworthiness (§ 5 WaffG) -How do they define this I wonder? Member of the correct political party?
personal adequacy (§ 6 WaffG)
expert knowledge (§ 7 WaffG) and
necessity (§ 8 WaffG) (Necessity is automatically assumed present for licensed hunters and owners of a carry permits (Waffenschein)).
Persons who are:
convicted felons
have a record of mental disorder or
are deemed unreliable (which includes people with drug or alcohol addiction histories and known violent or aggressive persons)
are barred from obtaining a firearms ownership license.

Firearms carry permits entitle licensees to publicly carry legally owned weapons, loaded in a concealed or non-concealed manner. A mandatory legal and safety class and shooting proficiency tests are required to obtain such a permit. Carry permits are usually only issued to persons with a particular need for carrying a firearm. This includes licensed hunters, law-enforcement officers, security personnel and persons living under a raised threat-level like celebrities and politicians (not the general public).

The weapons law does not apply to military use of weapons within the Bundeswehr.

By the way MEXICO has very strict gun laws as well.

Mexico has some of the strictest gun laws in the world.

Generally, citizens are restricted by law to:
pistolas (handguns) of .380 Auto or .38 Special revolvers or smaller in either case,
escopetas (shotguns) of 12 gauge or smaller, with barrels longer than 25 inches, and
rifles (rifles) bolt action and semi-auto.
Handguns in calibers bigger than those mentioned above are forbidden from private ownership.
Examples of firearms that are legal for citizens to own include .380 ACP pistols (such as the Glock 25); .38 Special revolvers, 12 gauge shotguns (no short-barreled shotguns are allowed) and rifles in any caliber up to .30 caliber.
Permits for the transportation and use of such non-military caliber firearms are issued for one year terms by SEDENA (Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional) and may be applied for up to 10 firearms, total, for each designated and planned use that is legally authorized. These uses may include hunting or shooting at a club or national competition. Permits are very easy to obtain, but may be only obtained by citizens belonging to a shooting club.
There is only one legally authorized retail outlet in Mexico City: UCAM (Unidad de Comercialización de Armamento y Municiones), run by the Army and able to sell firearms. It is owned by, and is part of, the government. Although there is no legal limit on how many firearms an individual can own, once any individual has purchased ten firearms from the only retail governmental outlet, he cannot get a permit to buy any more. However, private party sales are legal and are largely uncontrolled, and wealthy gun-collecting citizens thus can legally buy more firearms from other private owners.
Collector permits, somewhat analogous to the FFL Category 03 Curio & Relic permits issued in the United States, are easy to obtain from the Mexican Government and allow the ownership of a wide range of firearms, even including military firearms. For those holding collector permits, regular visits by the local military authority to inspect the storage location to make sure it has the necessary security measures to avoid the guns being stolen are a recurring fact of life.
CCW licenses are issued but are hard to obtain for anyone not wealthy and without political connections. In the event that an application is denied, the denial may theoretically be appealed at a District Court, but this never occurs in practice. Prior to 2002, CCW licenses could be obtained authorizing military caliber pistols. However, these CCW licenses were all cancelled, and re-issued to authorize only up to .380 ACP caliber pistolas.
Transportation licenses are required for transporting guns. Transportation must be with the firearm unloaded and in a case. There are no public shooting ranges such as in the U.S. and other countries.
