So Where Do I stand on the issues?

usa-eagle-800 My partner in crime asked Where do you Stand on issues the other day, and it is a great question. I started to answer just to clarify MY positions and it got too long for the comment section.

gop_logo2_bo21 When I started this blog I would have to say I thought I was what commonly passes for Republican these days. The more I have discussed and aired my thoughts here and studied and read, the more I realize I am Constitutionally Libertarian. So in a nutshell here is my stance on the issues:
Fedzilla Fiscal Policy - Leave us alone. Free Market Capitalism is the way, the truth, and the light when it comes to fiscal policy. The government is the problem not the solution. Audit the Fed, Get rid of the Fed.

Freedom of Speech, Lady Justice Freedom of speech - this means freedom of all speech even that which we disagree with and do not like or that which makes us uncomfortable. This means Fox news and even MSNBC news.

Freedom of Religion Freedom of Religion- not freedom from, even those ideologies that we do not agree with , as long as those people believing those ideologies can live peaceably with us and not blow up our planes, trains, automobiles, and buildings, or Kill our kids. Free to choose any religion, even none, realizing that this nation was founded on strong Judeo Christian traditions.

Gun Control

Second Amendment - Leave us Alone. It is plainly said in the constitution and there is a reason why. I have perfect gun control thank you: the ability to hit the target, and a good two hand weaver stance.

BABY Abortion- LIFE, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. Duh. I do not know exactly where life begins, but in lieu of knowing I will side with Life. It is totally illogical to be pro-abortion and anti-KFC

taxes Taxes - will never be low enough.

reaganwelfare Entitlements - breed cultures of dependency and need to be slowly and methodically scaled back and controlled. OASDI will not be there when I need it anyway, start letting me pay for my ancestors as well as save for MY future.

Global_Warming Anthropogenic Climate Change - Good story, right up there with Hansel and Gretel and the Three Little Pigs. All three are to get children and mental midgets to do something someone else wants them to do.

Fight like the 300 Wars- IF...IF, they are important enough to fight, fight hard, win decisively and come home quickly. Strike fear into the enemies heart and break his will to wage war and you won't have as many people trying to start stuff with you.

United Nations UN - keep them here and keep an eye on them, but never take them seriously.

illegal_aliens-amnesty2 Immigration - I am for all the LEGAL immigration we can stand. I am in favor of making it easier to obtain work authorization. But the line forms over there and no cutting, the rest of you go back the the end of the line, cross our border illegally again and we will shoot you.

School Choice Education - leave my damn kid alone, you can't run the post office, DMV, balance a checkbook, read a bill, tell the truth, obey the law, or pay your taxes. Leave my Kid alone. Vouchers are a good idea, let parents vote with their feet, and their school tax dollars. Then the schools that PERFORM will SUCCEED.

Unions Unions- there was a time, fifty years ago, when Unions were a good thing. Now they are just PACs and Criminal Organizations that feed off of hard working people like a tick. They need to go the way of the dodo.

Universal Healthcare- Communism Healthcare - Leave me alone. Tort Reform, Entitlement reform, EMS reform, less insurance restrictions. That would help healthcare. What the Fed wants to do is not about healthcare or health insurance but about consolidating control and power.

tl-drill_here_drill_now_stickers Energy, for heaven’s sake drill here, drill now. All the Cars running on wishful thinking is not going to happen this decade or probably in the next two. So let's quit running ourselves into bankruptcy and prevent our economy grinding to a halt. Let's stop funding those entities which do not have our best interests at heart. Let's create some jobs in this country. No Smart grid, that is just like Government Healthcare, a joke and lever of control. Build some Nuclear power plants, they are good enough for China and France, why are they not good enough for us?

This was exactly the sort of debate and discourse I was looking for in my post. It is my hope that other blogs will ask and answer this same question. I agree with you on every point you made here. Add my comment to my own post to these things and you will see where I stand on this exact question. It is my belief that we, unlike those getting their orders from moveon.organ or the huffingpaint post, actually know where we stand on issues.
I agree with a lot of what you say. When it comes to Global Warming, there might be a difference. I'm sure we have a some effect on this planet. The trees that have come down and the driving that we do. We have animals coming where people live (all the bears and others) However in saying the above, I don't believe its as serious what people say it is. Those Dire warnings I don't believe. "Drill here and drill now" is a good idea and we should, lower costs. I also believe that we should look at other sources of engery, the more sources, the better.. As for Gun Control, should be some form (as in background checks, waiting periods).

Now, with real pollution such as acid rain, and Chernobyl, we are affecting the planet but here's some climatology 101 for you. Our atmosphere is made up of Oxygen and Nitrogen solution with trace elements such as water and CO2, along with many others making up less than 1%. Now look at Oxygen on the periodic table, and look Nitrogen on the periodic table. Now CO2 is carbon dioxide, right? 1 carbon molecule, with 2 oxygen molecules bound together (keep this in the back of your mind). Water is H2O. 2 Hydrogen molecules to one oxygen molecule. So when water builds up in the atmosphere to the point that there is too much i.e. it becomes too heavy, clouds grow and rain falls right? Now a water molecule is far lighter than a CO2 molecule right? So what happens when CO2 goes into the atmosphere? it falls into the ground just like rain water. Simple proof of this effect: The military uses CO2 as fire suppressant in the lower levels such as the engine room of military ships, why? Because when CO2 is released it sinks directly to the bottom of the ship, choking out any fire. You can prove this by a simple method. Use empty soda fountain to fill a one liter bottle with CO2. Light 4 candles and put them on a table. Open cap of CO2 bottle upright about 2-3 feet above lit candles and pour out CO2 as if it's water. Candles will go out almost immediately thus proving that CO2 does not build up in the atmosphere but goes into the ground just like rainwater. Al Gore and every other academia nut cannot give a good reason to disprove this one. The Sun heats the earth, not CO2, not to be confused with CO (carbonmonoxide) which is pollution. So I have just blown up every argument Algore and every other global waming loon has using a military method for fire suppression an empty soda fountain, a 1 liter bottle and some candles. As I said before, I have been studying this for a long time and no pro man made global warming supporter can explain this one away.
One more comment, since CO2 is heavier than air, there is an easy way to tell if CO2 is building up in the air. Barometric Pressure: the amount of weight the atmosphere puts on you. Since 1900, the average barometric pressure at sea level has not changed therefore CO2 is not building up in the air. Don't listen to everything the loons are saying about parts per million and such things because they are manipulating data much like for the last decade they claimed that glaciers the size of california were disappearing every year because in 1998 a computer "glitch" or manipulation showed a part of the arctic sea ice the size of California missing. Last year they just so happened to have found the missing "california" sea ice but didn't really say much about it. Science cannot be agenda driven. If a scientist starts out to prove a given result, they will find a way to do so. Since the government has lots of money to make in "global warming" the science behind it is agenda driven. If the scientists went to Capitol Hill and said "were not finding evidence of Global warming" would they get their grants for more research?
"I have been studying this for a long time and no pro man made global warming supporter can explain this one away"

I won't debate you on this topic because you have it well covered .Also A lot of good information that I did not know.
I am simply trying to educate people that are often used to hearing only one side. I live next to and love the everglades. I have a wild animal as a pet. I consider myself to be a far more pro environment than your average tree hugging granola cruncher. In California, they won't let people maintain forests properly as the Chainsaw should be banned, and they wonder why they have so many forest fires. Also the environmentalists wont allow any sort of water storage so like this winter when Cali gets tons of rain (and they will) it will all run back into the ocean. I do think that there are areas, like rainforest clearing in S.America (which destroys the habitat for my wildcat's grandpa) that do need to be addressed, just like wasteful overfishing. Still, proper hunting for food and for animal population control keeps such animals strong and healthy. The tree huggers want to ban all hunting and would be out in front of my house if they knew Kee's ancestry. Taking breeds of animals from separate areas and introducing them to each other makes stronger breeds too, as well as prevents inbreeding. Many groups like peta and greenpeace are against my semi wild cat even being alive and yet all animals had to have been domesticated sometime in our history. We have to take a common sense approach to the environment and your view on drilling, as well as a let's do it all attitude is the right attitude towards energy. In my household we have two fuel efficient (one Prius) cars and we are not tree hugging granola crunchers but we see no good reason to own gas hogs unless there is a need for one. When I was owning a landscaping business, I had a truck. It was a gas hog, but I needed to tow 10,000 lbs. KOOK owns a similar truck and I don't blame him one bit. (Ford F150s are the best hands down) I now have a sports car but it is a honda that gets 31mpg when I take my time, but is a blast to drive when I get the urge. My dad's daily driver is a Prius and the only problem it has had was a $3 rear turn signal. We use our recycle bins and do everything within reason to save energy as it is common sense. So do not take from my above comments that I am anti-environment, I am just against those trying to use the environment to take our freedoms. Apparently my message is getting out because the number of people that believe global warming is an emergency is dropping fast!
Not that I agree with their (pseudo-scientists) outlook on the billions and billions of years theory etc. --- I recently stumbled across some work citing the Carboniferous period data of CO2 levels to be estimated around 1400 ppm . Today's measurements around 330 ppm....
The information even stated that presently we are in what is considered a carbon deficient level for the earth.

I am earnestly wondering why there is a move to tax cow farts, think I am weird....??? 30 years ago or so, there was scaremongering going on that the next ice age was upon us...especially in light of the 1978 blizzard which nearly buried the Midwest....

We freezing or burning? Which one?

Empirical data....not styrofoam hyped Hollywood Al Gore data.....

Real scientists....those who are of the likes of Richard Feynman....(he was a physicist) but had a brilliant outlook on science and avoiding the pitfalls of consensus, money driven science...

Google his speech to Caltech back in the 60's.
Chris,
I appreciate the differing viewpoint.
Whatever affect we have on the climate is microscopic. Forestclearing in south america is probably an issue, but in the US we plant 4 trees for every one that is cut. Trees are a renewable resource. Urban sprawl does cause some issues with animals living in the cities but bear and deer populations have increased in the last fifty years.

I don't believe global warming is an emergency, never have really.

How many GW hype mongers claim that it is? Do you ever hear anyone (in the "scientific community") claiming Man made GW is happening that doesn't say it's an emergency?
Amen brother! No third parties though! Time for a hostile takeover of the GOP!

Global warming is a fantasy, but I think we all agree with Chris that we need to be good stewards of the environment. Before everything got so politicized, we used to call it conservationism, and liberals and conservatives could all agree that pollution and irresponsibly clear cutting forests are bad.

I love the environment. That's where the tasty critters are!

I made the same point as you about stewards of the environment just in a much more bloviated way. I am all for responsible hunting and long as you eat what you hunt.

I don't think the GOP is fixable as it is now. It will take a profound change to make that happen. Having some independents elected in areas that Repubs expect to win will bash the message into their heads that we HATE progressivism, earmarks etc. Look at the New York Congressional race where the GOP candidate is supported by Obama, ACORN and Newt Gingrich, against an independent Conservative supported By Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Ron Paul, Dick Armey. Who are you for, the party or your principles?
Absorutely! There is room for all the animals right next to the taters and gravy!

You wanna come down to Florida and hunt you some Asian Leopard? You gotta catch um by hand. Kinda hard to catch those are. You saw what one did to me in DC. I hear they be good eatin though!
Not at all buddy, I want to borrow her and show her what a squirrel looks like.
but she probably would not share would she?
She would catch/kill the squirrel and then carry it up into a tree and she would never come down. That is why I cannot ever let her go outside. Some of those pics of her climbing up the screens on the windows are because she saw a squirrel on the power lines that runs over the back yard fence. We had a black squirrel that stayed in one spot on those lines for years. It never moved. Apparently it decided to go from the live line, down to the ground line and the second it touched both, it became charcoal. It stayed up there for 3 years until hurricane Irene blew it away.
I bet she would enjoy my yard then :)
We have a glassed in back patio. Most houses here in Florida have them which may be why it's called a "Florida room." Either way, it is kitty heaven especially for the wild one. She becomes a totally different animal out there than she is in house. She wont let people near her and becomes way more jumpy (as if she is not jumpy inside). If she ever got out the door, she would never come back as her wild would take over. With that room, she can watch outside, stalk the lizards that come in but she can't get out, so it is perfect for her. She needs the excitement of chasing and stalking or she will take out her wildness on things in the house.
I have an occasional mouse problem as well.
Since Mo came here the average size of cat caught lizards in the house has shrunk to infantile and the one mouse that was in the Hurricane supply room was dinner long ago. We are in a varmint free zone here. Kee will corner a lizard under a piece of furniture and stay frozen in that one spot for days. I can pick her up and carry her to a different part of the house and she will run right back to the spot where she trapped the lizard and stay there frozen until it comes out, then it is dead.

My way of eliminating mice without Kee is get some of those green rat poison pellets, mix them into melted chocolate, put pieces of poison chocolate up in the attic and in places that mice may be going and they will eat the deadly chocolate and die. I have de moused several places using that tactic.

With Kee, I don't even have to consider that. If there is something anywhere in the house, she can smell it. Often she will sniff around a piece of furniture constantly and sure enough she will have a lizard shortly. She even caught a "curly tail" (as they are called here) once. Curly tails can outrun cats easily usually. That was big surprise here as I have never seen a cat catch a curly tail. I have had many cats but none like Kee. That gave me a true since of her speed and hunting skills compared to a regular cat. Curly tails are very fast and very smart, hard to catch. I used to catch lizards for fun when I was young, and I never caught a curly tail. I caught skinks, anoles, and even iguanas and every other lizard we have here in Florida but never a curly tail. I posted a pic of her with it once.
I was replying to this: "Apparently my message is getting out because the number of people that believe global warming is an emergency is dropping fast!"

I'm not one of those people.
One thing, with this administration, does anybody else think that without a huge election in 2010 that the UN, G8,G20 etc will be as weak when Obama leaves as when he entered?
First-thank you for the warm welcome to the blog world, and the kind extension you expressed thereof.
second...I will not be able to keep this short, something happens when my large and highly wrinkled cerebral cortex begins to observe and respond to criteria regarding politics...I simply can't help trying to wake the ire of certain self-hating mongers who think we should all be down on ourselves........

Finally, the LOOOONG part.
Perhaps I will need to rethink my self-ascribed ties to Republican oriented notions. The GOP, by the way, has never had a dumb sheeple in me. I will not vote for the R by the name.

I've read through the points on this post and pretty much find my OWN thinking in alignment. That thinking is my own, not influenced by anything other than knowledge of the Constitution, my experiences, and personal observations for the past 30+ years. Unlike assertions by leftwads (oops, derogatory remark) I am not being led by anyone or anything. For those who find offense in that statement, please refer to my second opening statement; my brain is big, my brain is highly wrinkled. If that does not enlighten, then perhaps a delve into the world of BRAINOLOGY is needed. I am not conceited, I am just highly confident in my talent, which did NOT originate, nor was it the direct result of any CREATING on my part.

Just a couple tiny adjustments to your points and I could honestly fall mistaken they came from my own keyboard.

Fiscally speaking, yes, END the FED! Do not stop there. Abolish the IRS as it is now in severe need of a big flushing. Income tax and property tax are some shady areas. A good drive down the 'Constitutional road of years past' as well as the 'Scenic Route of Supreme Court Tweaks' may give some insight as to just how far off the primrose path we have been driven by goofy ideology (which is, "anything you people make we can take away and give it to someone else who doesn't deserve it"...or something like it)

I know that was the longest run on sentence, I am not interested in correct sentence structure at the moment.

I would also add this to the fiscal point: Those parents or families who do not want to put their kids in the 'Public-pick-pocket-pontificating-indoctrinating-Education-System' ought not be required to support it through taxation on their property or in any other way be required to support such a debacle. See writings of Thomas Jefferson for talking points on forcing individuals to pay for things they don't believe in.

Finally, on freedom of speech. I am all for it with some common sense. I draw the line at organizations like N.A.M.B.L.A or similar SICK PUKES having free speech as a cover! If they want to spew their vile filth and use it as a means to gain access to innocent little boys or children for that matter, then I ought to have the freedom, if they are caught directly targeting my sons, to castrate the nasty pervs with a dull spoon and then kindly eliminate them with a .50 BMG. I have zero tolerance for stealing the innocence of our children. Idiots out there think they will be reformed, then they get out only to rape again and again. Call me a hypocrite, a violent mongering capital punishment supporting freak.... whatever, but I have no qualms and would readily volunteer for their elimination from society.

There, you might find it hard to believe such a violent statement could come from a mom of 6 kids who loves to bake cookies, knit, sew, sing, create, study, research, garden, can & preserve, ride a Harley, write extensively and care for children plus all things most feminine........well don't find it hard any longer, while it is true, I am all things woman, all things lovely, all things nurturing and all things lovely, but I draw the line when imminent harm is directed at my children this sort of thing will put you in the cross-hairs LITERALLY.

there, my buffalo nickel's worth of input

Go back to our archives to July 13th and read my Bankrupt America series. Part 1 and 2 are all about the FED. Feel free to use, repost, rewrite etc. any of our material we have archived.

The reason we are here is you, the reader and fellow blogger. Without you we are yelling into the wind. Without your family, our military is 1 valuable soldier smaller and to us every one counts. While we aren't in the military we think it is very important to fight for our freedoms so we are doing so in the way that we can, on the home front. We (KOOK and I went to DC on 9/12 to stand up for those freedoms representing this blog). Without you, there is no point in us being here so we welcome you because without you (to quote Glenn Beck) we don't surround them! We will be happy to introduce you to fellow patriots like yourself, both male and female who will welcome you just like we have. You are a patriotic American and you matter. All the sentiments you shared in that last comment are sentiments that we share. We may have small differences here and there but the ties that bind us are the love of God, our fellow Americans and those rights guaranteed by the Constitution. Don't take my love of God part to mean that we are pushing some religion on you. That is a statement of the historical fact that this Nation was founded on Judeo-Christian values and we want to keep those values. I am unsure why you picked our small blog to be the first within the "Blogger" community you joined but I thank you for joining us and want you to know that you always have a voice here and if you see something that you disagree with, let us know and we will have a healthy debate. That is What America is all about.
I think it was an earlier post mentioning FARM related events .....plus I blog jogged here from LCR I think, and not to mention, you stopped by my blog and made such a nice welcome and response about my post tribute to my husband.

I will be taking you up on the offer you extended in that comment.
That offer as something KOOK and I came up with when we saw this blog really starting to take off. We both feel that the folks who sacrifice their lives to protect our freedoms don't get enough of a voice in the media and hollyrottenwood. We cant change them but we can do something here where we have a say. We want our servicemen and women to know that they are appreciated and that the sacrifices that they make are not in vein. So we have had for quite a while now a standing offer that any vet or currently serving soldier, firefighter, policeman etc. gets a post here and they can discuss whatever they like from an experience they had in service to how the weather is that day. The sky is the limit. If you look through our archives you will see many posts that show nothing but support and admiration for our troops here. LCR has sent us many readers and we appreciate him greatly. We are treating you basically the way he and others treated us. I know being a new blogger there is a bit of nervousness and apprehension about putting yourself and your feelings out there and not knowing how the response will be. I know I felt that way when I started my own blog. Then a few weeks later KOOK came along and saw that we are very like minded so we became a team. That was a great help to me and this blog went from something I was doing as a project, to an important part of my life. KOOK and I are very similar but very different too as I grew up in S.Florida. My stories are quite different than KOOK's farm stories but that is a good thing. To be honest I don't know if I'd still be doing this had I not joined him here. I really appreciate being given this opportunity. We try to help folks that are where we were just months ago in the same way as those who helped us. After all, what good is success if you cant do good things with it? I'm not saying we are a big blog. Far from it, but we have grown far faster than we ever imagined and have had impacts in local politics where I live as well. While this is a secular blog, it is my personal belief that God has been with us on our journey and i think we have far more potential and I hope we can share it with as many great American Patriots like you as possible.
I know this is buried, a few days old, but I could not think of where else to post this so it would be relevant. I discussed with my dear husband the offer you extended for him to discuss anything....he delegated me to take the place for him. He informed me that his duties as a USMC Gunnery Sgt. prevents him from speaking out publicly on any issue right now political or moral or otherwise etc, additionally he just isn't a "wordy" kind of guy not to mention he is NECK deep in an intense course he is studying....'Wars of The Antiquities', I think...anyway it commands all of his non-family time attention....

I can assure that my thoughts are his thoughts for the most part...he tends to be more traditional, I am less so. He is highly driven....I am way laid back. He is not outgoing...I am ....you get the point....

I will do some digging....I mean it won't take long....I only have 50 or so posts I have put up on my "newborn blog". I think I am almost 2 months old now....HTML is getting LESS scary....I am still doing all of my blog manually without cut and paste....but I can guess it is better than learning actual computer CODE....blink blink boring

would you like anything I pick to be sent to an email? Or just put into a comment? I don't know how this works.

On a final note, I want to convey that I tend to ramble on a bit, and can get quite sarcastic sounding....any views I have are that...MY views, and I am comfortable with NOT shoving them down anyone's throat...however I don't think the progressive left shares the same sentiments....I just wanted to let you know...I am quite humorous, and where I sometimes sound like an ass...it is meant to poke fun, either in jest a myself or just in jest at crazy THINKING which some say are synonymous.

thank you kindly
and with regards,

CLW,

KOOK, I know you sent UCB an e-mail but if you have her send the post to me via e-mail I will but as big an effort into artwork for it as I have on anything I have done up until now. If you want to share in that, you could come up with some base pictures for me to work on too
