Sen. Dodd has prostate cancer, will have surgery

HARTFORD, Conn. – Connecticut Sen. Christopher Dodd said Friday that he has been diagnosed with an early stage of prostate cancer (in a preventive procedure likely not allowed under O-Care) and will have surgery in early August, (no waiting list for him) but the prognosis is good (thanks to the best medical care on the planet, can I get a Hell Yeah?)and the illness will not affect his plans to seek a sixth term next year. DAMMMIT

Dodd said the cancer was detected in June during his annual physical and the results were confirmed by a biopsy.(in a preventive procedure likely not allowed under O-Care)  He said he plans to have surgery at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York (The Hospital of his choice) shortly after Congress adjourns next week and is "very confident we're going to come out of this well."

Dodd also used the diagnosis to make a pitch for overhauling the nation's health care system. (whaaa? Isn’t this a triumph of the very healthcare system his minions are trying to destroy?)

"For a person who loses health care coverage, that physical may not be something that you can afford," he said. "I'm fortunate as a member of Congress to have those benefits." (benefits that I am not going to give up and I am certainly not going to share them with the rest of you commoners, to all of you I say “Let them eat Cake”)

Ok after that I just have one question, when they start removing tumor…how are they going to know where to stop? If it was colon cancer there would be no hope, he is all ass.  ….Lord I apologize for them last two comments there, and be with the starving pygmies in New Guinea, Amen…

Is this real or is it Dodd's excuse not to run again because he knows he will get his prostate or as you pointed out, his whole body kicked since he is all ass in 2010? Plus with all the legal trouble he is in, he makes Madoff's legal issues look like a simple traffic ticket. I have read up on prostate Cancer and for men, and detecting it so early that it is likely not life threatening from what I know is nearly impossible to do in such early stages. Prostate Cancer spreads faster than any other type in men and finding it that early is like finding a needle in the Bermuda Triangle. I would not be surprised if we are being fed a line of bovine scatology here and Dodd, seeing he is down so far in the polls is quitting while he is ahead. I don't believe everything I am told by the government, do you?
Lord, I too apologize for my comments, and be with the starving mental pygmies in Washington D.C. so maybe this country can get 'er done!

I think he knows he's toast in 2010. Seems too much of a co-inky-dink.
OK, I tried to hold it in. Can't....keep...mouth...shut....

I thought prostate health was tied into a healthy sex life, with the screwing he has been giving to the american people you would think you could drive a semi through his urethra...

It may not be nice, but I don't care who you are that there is funny!
I can't cheer for a man's prostate cancer (bad karma).

Under ObamaCare, you can rest assured that all pigs will be equal - but some will be more equal than others. Congress always exempts itself. Though with all the doctors fleeing the US, the surgery (done under ObamaCare in five years) would likely be done in Mexico.

In all honestly me neither
I hope he has real good medical coverage and he is able to find the best doctor for his treatment. I hope he does not have to wait for an operation and will find the best drugs available. Fortunately people have donated lots of money to the Cancer Society, not for the tax deduction, but for a cure! Takes many years of schooling and many bucks to become a doctor. Some doctors get A's.

There are few people i would wish cancer on and as much as it would be snarky i dont wish him ill health ...just unemployment
The cancer isn't in his rear end. It's the voting bloc that keeps electing this corrupt, stupid, evil clown for five straight terms.

You know, you have a point
I agree. I don't believe for one minute that he has cancer. Those above him know that he can't win the next election, that he is likely going to be in a lengthy trial so he has been ordered to be a fall guy to try to get rid of the stink of corruption that the elitist politicians have flooded America with. Honestly, What hurts the establishment politicians more, a whole bunch long time establishment politicians going down to a bunch of unfunded nobodies in elections or having some of them step down early and getting them out of the way so it is not plastered all over the news when Dodd is added to the list of long timers about to be thrown out in 2010 or arrested on corruption charges?
By the way madmath, much of the old voting block of CT has either moved away or died in the last several years. Believe me , they are all here in Florida now, where they keep their second homes so they don't have to pay taxes in CT. All the NewEnglanders a.k.a Snowbirds do it. Odd thing is, down here they've voted in conservatives to keep taxes as low as possible. That is why Florida is one of America's best tax shelters. It just goes to show that those New England liberals know exactly what they are doing and have a do as I say, not as I do attitude.
