1) They consistently abet and defend the criminal rather than the victim.


2) They promote moral relativism and immorality.


3) They promote "diversity" and "equality" while being intolerant of anyone who has a differing point of view


4) Progressives enable the poor to be and stay poor, and promote permanent dependence on the government.


5) They persecute, marginalize and censor (at least attempt to) any person who espouses any traditional, Christian, or conservative point of view.


6) They resort to name calling when the facts do not support their agenda. This happens quite a bit since the facts usually don't support their arguments.


7) Progressives distort history in order to advance their agenda.


8) There are many instances where progressives simply omit either partial or complete segments from history.


9) Progressives are oblivious to reality.


10) They promote indoctrination of our youth


11) Progressives have anti-Semitic sympathies


12) Progressives themselves have been so desensitized and indoctrinated by the MSM or Left-wing extreme news that they see any fair & balanced news as a "right-wing" distortion of facts.


13) Progressives think that they represent the mainstream of America because they have people like George Soros (Spooky Dude) aggressively promoting their point of view when in fact they don't represent mainstreet America.


14) They encourage class warfare.


15) They believe in the rights of union employees but not the employers.


16) They are ignorant and sympathetic with our enemies when it comes to foreign policy.


17) Progressives believe in "spreading the wealth". They believe that they have a "right" for the government - taxpayers- to take care of them so they don't have to take responsibility and take care of themselves.


18) Instead of truly fixing medicare, medicaid, and the cost of our health care, progressives would rather demagogue the issue and advocate rationing or euthanasia for the vulnerable - sick and elderly.

19) They prey on the most vulnerable and innocent, promoting the murder pre-born children because of what they call "choice".


20) Progressives promote the "you are a racist" or racism meme.


21) They promote statism - strong, big centralized government, communism, socialism, welfare state


22) Progressives promote a mob-like mentality.


23) They demonize the wealthy, the job creators.


24) Progressives believe in power, and in obtaining an enormous amount of power and control over our lives.


25) They believe in racial reparations when those who are in existence today have no history of keeping blacks as slaves.


26) Progressives believe in forcing taxpayers to relinquinsh funds - i.e. their earnings - over to the government instead of true charity from the heart.


27) They don't believe in the Constitution, but see it as an outdated paper which is interfering with their endgame.


28) They ONLY use the Constitution when it fits with their agenda.


29) Progressives are anti-God, anti-prayer in the public sphere, and promote separation of church and state when that is seen nowhere within the Constitution.


30) Simply stated, they're WRONG!

I'm tired.

The title is true, I'm tired from a long day of driving and playing with race cars so I am posting this e-mail that I recieved earlier (and edited slightly). Now I'm going to pass out.


I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.   
  
I'm tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to "keep people in their homes."  Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I'm willing to help. But if they bought McMansions at three times their real value and 1000 times their needs at less than my salary, then let the left-wing Congress-critters who passed Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble help them with their own money.   
  
I'm tired of being told how bad America is by left-wing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros and Hollywood Entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities America offers. In thirty years, if they get their way, the United States will have the economy of Zimbabwe, the freedom of the press of China, the crime and violence of Mexico, the tolerance for Christian people of Iran, and the freedom of speech of Venezuela. 
  
I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to.   
  
I'm tired of being told that "race doesn't matter" in the post-racial world of Obama, when it's all that matters in affirmative action jobs, lower college admission and graduation standards for minorities (harming them the most), government contract set-asides, tolerance for the ghetto culture of violence and fatherless children that hurts minorities more than anyone, and in the appointment of U.S. Senators from Illinois. I'm glad that the 98% of black Americans that voted for obama know the principles of Marxism so well. Most of them can quote the Communist Manifesto verbatim.
  
I think it's very cool that we have a black dictator and that a black child is doing her homework at the desk where Lincoln wrote the Emancipation Proclamation. I think it's ironic that a black man who is enslaving us all in the name of the all-knowing government after swearing on the Lincoln Bible cover draped over a Koran   
  
I'm tired of a news media that thinks Bush's fundraising and inaugural expenses were obscene, but that think Obama's, at triple the cost, were wonderful; that thinks Bush exercising daily was a waste of presidential time, but Obama exercising is a great example for the public to control weight and stress; that picked over every line of Bush's military records, but never demanded that Kerry release his; that slammed Palin, with two years as governor, for being too inexperienced for VP, but touted Obama with three years as senator as potentially the best president ever. Wonder why people are dropping their subscriptions or switching to Fox News?  Get a clue. I didn't vote for Bush in 2000, but the media and Kerry drove me to his camp in 2004.   
  
I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and mandrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America, while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.   
  
I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate. Not only do I have a carbon footprint, but my feet and the rest of me is made of carbon just like our home planet. Still, my carbon footprint is about 5% of Al Gore's, and if you're greener than Gore, you're a red Bolshevik through and through..   
  
I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a "disease", and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off? Drug users chose to take drugs. And I'm tired of harassment from cool people treating me like a freak when I tell them I gave up marijuana permanently. If someone is going to stop using drugs (including tobacco), a true desire to change behavior is necessary. How many people try to catch malaria by choice? At the same time, heroin is NOT an airborne virus!!!
  
I'm tired of illegal aliens being called "undocumented workers," especially the ones who aren't working, but are living on welfare or crime. What's next?  Calling drug dealers, "Undocumented Pharmacists"?  And, no,  I'm not against Hispanics. Most of them are Catholic, and it's been a few hundred years since Catholics wanted to kill me for my religion.  I'm willing to fast track for citizenship any Hispanic person, who can speak English, doesn't have a criminal record and who is self-supporting without family on welfare, and who serves honorably for three years in our military.... Those are the citizens we need.   
  
I'm tired of latte liberals and journalists, who would never wear the uniform of the Republic themselves, or let their entitlement-handicapped kids near a recruiting station, trashing our military. They and their kids can sit at home, never having to make split-second decisions under life and death circumstances, and bad mouth better people than themselves. Do bad things happen in war?  You bet. Do our troops sometimes misbehave?  Sure. Does this compare with the atrocities that were the policy of our enemies for the last fifty years and still are?  Not even close.  So here's the deal. I'll let myself be subjected to all the humiliation and abuse that was heaped on terrorists at Abu Ghraib or Gitmo, and the critics can let themselves be subject to captivity by the Muslims, who tortured and beheaded Daniel Pearl in Pakistan, or the Muslims who tortured and murdered Marine Lt. Col. William Higgins in Lebanon, or the Muslims who ran the blood-spattered Al Qaeda torture rooms our troops found in Iraq, or the Muslims who cut off the heads of schoolgirls in Indonesia, because the girls were Christian. Then we'll compare notes. British and American soldiers are the only troops in history that civilians came to for help and handouts, instead of hiding from in fear.   
  
I'm tired of people telling me that their party has a corner on virtue and the other party has a corner on corruption. Read the papers; bums are bipartisan. And I'm tired of people telling me we need bipartisanship. I live in Florida where there has been bipartisan corruption by those who public office for years. Not to mention our bipartisan, bisexual governor cheats on his boyfriends in Obama's cabinet, and under his bed, and on air force one. Our governor changes parties more often than he changes sexes-now that's change you can believe in!!!   
  
I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.   
  
Speaking of poor, I'm tired of hearing people with air-conditioned homes, color TVs and two cars called poor. The majority of Americans didn't have that in 1970, but we didn't know we were "poor." The poverty pimps have to keep changing the definition of poor to keep the dollars flowing.   
  
I'm real tired of people blame me for their problems. Recently, when someone said that I, and all of my race owe "reparations" to descendents of Antebellum slaves. My reply was if their housing project, food stamps and wellfare checks, plus affirmative action aren't enough, I will be happy to sell them to Arab slave traders in Gaza (it's big business there after all). Simple fact, the poorest people in America live better than most national leaders in 3rd world countries and yet they complain. Still, I hope they don't learn what life in Zimbabwe or North Korea is like the hard way. I believe deep down most of you feel the same way which is what separates America from the rest of the world. Be thankful you live here and prepare for the toughest challenge you have ever faced in stopping the atheist liberal agenda. You best believe those on the other side aren't going to go away quetly, and will have no problem torturing persecuting and even killing you because you are their enemy and the only common ground between us and them is a cemetary!

Eric Holder: Obama’s deranged Idiot cousin.

Usama bin Laden (I don’t know why but it irritates me when they spell it Usama.  Usama/Osama who cares?  Spelling it with a “U” seems to be the “friendlier” thing to do or something) will never be captured alive, Attorney General Eric Holder told lawmakers on Tuesday. "The possibility of capturing him alive is infinitesimal," Holder said. "He will be killed by us, or he will be killed by his own people so that he is not captured by us. We know that. ... The possibility simply does not exist."

[SNIP] Republicans … suggested he intends to treat terrorism suspects as "common criminals." Holder said such suggestions tend to "get my blood boiling," calling them "anything but the truth."

He said the "apt" comparison is to mass murderers like Charles Manson, …Trying to  explain the analogy, Holder said mass murderers like Manson still reserve the right to go before a jury and have the charges against them proved beyond a reasonable doubt. "In some ways I think they're comparable people, in some ways," Holder said.

Rep. John Culberson, R-Tex., called that response "incredible." "This is where the disconnect between this administration in your mindset is so completely opposite that of where the vast majority of the American people are," Culberson said. "This is war, and in a time of war we as a nation have never given Constitutional rights to foreign nationals, enemy soldiers, certainly captured overseas."

[snip] As for the Charles Manson analogy, Holder said he was simply trying to think of a mass murderer. [Snip] "The comparison is between people who have committed the most heinous acts and have been charged in [civilian] courts."

  Still, Culberson found the Charles Manson analogy ill-advised. "By granting Usama bin Laden the right to appear in a U.S. courtroom, you are clothing Usama bin Laden with the protections of the U.S. Constitution," he said.

[Snip] Holder may be the first U.S. official to say unequivocally that bin Laden will never be captured alive, but he is not the first to raise such a possibility. In October 2001, shortly after the 9/11 attacks, then-Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said bin Laden may never be captured, adding that capturing or killing the Al Qaeda leader would be "very difficult." "It's a big world," he told USA Today. "There are lots of countries. He's got a lot of money, he's got a lot of people who support him and I just don't know whether we'll be successful. Clearly, it would be highly desirable to find him."

The biggest reason he will not be taken alive they left unsaid.  We are not really looking for him and he will die of old age, someday. For heaven’s sake it's been 9 years and you're telling me that if the United States really, really, wanted this guy we would not have found him?

Holder is effin delusional, just like the pResident, and it speaks to Obama's mindset as well. This obvious moonbat would have probably tried to prosecute the Japanese for Pearl Harbor- AT LEAST they attacked a Military Base, not Civilians in offices.  Charlie Manson, an apt comparison?  Manson was responsible for 8 murders, not thousands, and not acts of war. Bin Laden orchestrated the attacks on The WTC, The Pentagon, and just where do you think the other plane was going? (hint) 

  No, an apt comparison between Osama and someone else would be Hitler, or one of the top people of the SS, rounding up and killing people for being Jewish.  No wonder they don’t see the Hamas or Hezbollah as big deals, they are just firing rockets into civilian homes, that is kinda like what Billy Ayers did isn’t it?

I used to believe Osama was dead, now I am open to the possibility that he is still alive, but we are not looking for him.  And to quote Rumsfield...that pisses me off as well, We HAD HIM (here is another better account) and he let turf warfare and political considerations get in the way.

If I had my way we would capture his skinny ass, take him to ground zero and give him to a pack of wild starving hogs....

or better yet just simply shoot him where we find him so dickheads like Holder can't sing effin Kum Ba Ya with him.

Back to the Dilemma at hand with a new option

The Kook’s age old and much mind-torturing dilemma:  When it comes to politicians; after really distilling, refracting, running it through the Gas Chromatographic Mass Spectrometer…you are really faced with (I used to say two) three conclusions. 

 

They are:

 

 

 

1.  Rampant, zealous, drooling, incompetence, of the sort not usually  seen amongst non recipients of the Darwin Award.


2. Dr. Doom level,  Lex Luthorian, Jokeresque,  Pure D undiluted® Evil  that usually only exists in comic books or movies.
  
3. Wild Eyed, Hale Bopp, Jonestownian, Make love not war, pass the weed, galactic do gooder, know it all, True Believers in Progressivism.

My opinion on this changes daily, sometimes hourly, with the headlines. There is a strong case for option #2, but there is a logical axiom that roughly translated states “never ascribe to evil, what incompetence will answer” which strengthens the case for number 1.  However, as cynical and realistic  pessimistic as I am. One would really, really, have to stretch to believe in the enormous levels of stupidity that would be necessary to a)have people so stupid as to vote for representatives that stupid b) those people who are that stupid be able to actually find the polls be able to vote for people that incredibly stupid.  However this argument is strongly supported by the website “People of Wal-Mart”. 

At least for today, the strongest contender is Option #3.  These know it all do-gooders on a galactic scale TRULY, MADLY, DEEPLY believe (well most of them anyway) that they are SUPERIOR than the Citizenry as a whole and one way of another, by hook or (mostly) by crook, they are going to do what is best for us, even if it kills U.S. (meaning us), whether we like it or not.
 

History, the sum of human knowledge, all logic and reason, be damned.  You see, you simply cannot use logic, reason, and finely structured arguments, evidence, or case histories to dissuade someone who is dealing purely on emotion and faith to sway them from their belief.  They have Faith, Faith in themselves and their vision, faith that they are superior and a belief that they are both correct and have have the responsibility and mandate to kill us with kindness

MAN, I still don’t know which option I fear the most, and the worst part  is…even if we beat them again this time.  We will have to defeat it again, and again, and again.  Progressivism is like the evil offspring of Voldemort, The Terminator, and the Energizer Bunny. 

Question: How many freaking times does history have to prove the fallacy of this ideaology? 

Answer: Every. Time.

The First Objective of Business by The Rational Jingo

 I got nothin to add to this, she says it right.

I am about to state something very controversial to the left. The first objective of a business is to stay in business. People do not risk everything they have, often times, to create entities to employ others. They only hire others when they have so much business the only way to continue getting and keeping new business is with additional bodies and brains. It is that simple. To believe anything else, is to engage in utopian thinking.

The left has zero understanding of this. Perfectly illustrated by Barack Obama's own words last week. Obama seemingly never having actually held a job, let alone run a business and has never left the left wing bubble of academia, rabble rousing and the political class.

OBAMA: “Despite the progress we've made, many businesses are still skittish about hiring. Some are still digging themselves out of the losses they incurred over the past year. Many have figured out how to squeeze more productivity out of fewer workers. And that cost-cutting has become embedded in their operations and in their culture. That may result in good profits, but it's not translating into hiring and so that's the question that we have to ask ourselves today: How do we get businesses to start hiring again?”

Let me also call in the words of pied piper of the deranged left, Michael Moore, to get a more thorough understanding of the mindset.

"F##k all these small businesses — f##k ‘em all! Bring in the chains. The small businesspeople are the rednecks that run the town and suppress the people. F##k ‘em all. That's how I feel."~Micheal Moore

Where do you even start with this stuff? The chief reason the left is able to get away with this is that our young people are absolutely clueless and have been brainwashed for most of their young lives to see the government as the source of all good things and private industry as the harbinger of all of life's ills. But it is one thing when it is a 21 year old college student who wants to throw a brick through the Starbuck's window. It is quite another when it is the leader of what is left of the free world saying hopelessly ignorant and irresponsible things such as:

Obama is so completely and hopelessly ignorant of the real world he actually thinks that a businessman adjusting his operations in order to meet changing economic conditions is some kind of trick of exploitation and greed. He actually believes this stuff. What is next? Hiring quotas? Taxes on lay offs and not meeting quotas? 32 hour work weeks? [ok, I lied, I do want to add one thing…this statement is not even rhetorical, it isnt even satirical.  I believe very much that if Big O had his way this is absolutely where we would be heading.  Google “Blue Eagle” and read up on it.  It has been done HERE before.]

People are not hiring because of his administration. They have zero faith that things are going to improve. Some are even closing the doors in anticipation of how bad things are going to get.
These are common sense laws of supply and demand. Calling it the "new" economy, "green" jobs" or whatever collectivist code word is in vogue does nothing to change it. Supply and demand.

Say, I am a businessman, and once I reach a certain level of profit, I can and need to hire help. Employee and I make more money, and we soon reach enough profitability to hire employee #2. In comes Government with taxes, fees and regulations I must comply with. Profit level decreases. Government returns and taxes me even more. Now, I must lose an employee. Government is threatening me with more taxes by promising the country free stuff. I do not replace employee #1 and I think about losing employee #2.

The effects ripple. I am no longer as productive. The guy down the road where I buy product X to make my product Y is getting less orders from me and people in my similar situation. And there are many of us. He makes adjustments and has to reduce his workforce. Like dominoes we all fall.

It's simple, basic, and irrefutable common sense. There are no alternatives. They've all been tried. You can re-label collectivism, repackage it, re-brand it, and      villain-ize free market principles and business all day long but at the end of the day collectivism still fails everywhere it is implemented.

This was a comment AD33 made to an earlier post and I thought it should be a post of its own. This is all in reference to pResident "Chairman Zero" Obamarx telegraphing his war exit strategy to our enemies. If FDR and Churhill had told the Germans the day date and time of D-day do you think it would have been successful? No. Obamarx has guaranteed our failure in Afghanistan because he has told our enemies that if they can just hold put we will leave. He might as well have bowed to them and the only reason he hasn't us because he hasn't been in the same room as any of Al Queda's leadership.

To quote Chris Mathews ( a first for this blog), "If I were Al qaeda and the Taliban, I'd circle the withdrawal date as the day to start their "surge." You know that when Chris "what's wrong with calling al Qaeda" Mathews gets it, then it must not even be to the level of common sense. So easy a caveman could figure it out. (now the cavemen won't be so offended by geico commercials as being compared to Mathews is far worse.)

Obama, Pledge, Anthem, Snopes, Bowing, Urban Legends

First from back during the campaign in Iowa:

Folks, this was from TIME magazine (left leaning).  Snopes (accused of leaning left) even says this is true, even though they try to back their way out of it by saying that despite what the U.S. Flag Code says that it is an “outdated” practice and not necessary.  Some have said that he put his hand over his heart later, but a YouTube video I found does not support this.

The Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem

The pledge of allegiance should be rendered by standing at attention, facing the flag, and saluting.
When the national anthem is played or sung, citizens should stand at attention and salute at the first note and hold the salute through the last note. The salute is directed to the flag, if displayed, otherwise to the music.

The Salute

To salute, all persons come to attention. Those in uniform give the appropriate formal salute. Citizens not in uniform salute by placing their right hand over the heart and men with head cover should remove it and hold it to left shoulder, hand over the heart. Members of organizations in formation salute upon command of the person in charge.

 

The rest of the military officers are Saluting.  Let me add my own opinion here.  Obama is not just a civilian.  As POTUS he should observe the rules the military uses during official military ceremonies.  I recall seeing him salute other soldiers just like (real) Presidents in the past.   Other civilians in the picture are also observing the etiquette.  he is not.  That is a fact.

Urban Legends is part of ABOUT.COM which is a website that is part of the NEW YORK TIMES.  I would not trust that website especially concerning Obama.

Snopes is run by a person who is a registered independent and former Republican; and a Canadian citizen.  There are more complaints that the site is leftist than there are that it is rightist, but generally it is sort of down the middle.  The worst that I can opine is that if anything, they are just overly cautious to say anything negative or verify things at all.

Fact are stubborn things, these pictures are not doctored, no one that I have found has even put forth that complaint, and everyone else in the pictures is observing the proper historical proscribed etiquette.  So whether it takes some sort of prompt from the teleprompter or not, or if he just doesn’t particularly care about proper etiquette is moot.  He is the POTUS, a regrettable fact, but a fact nonetheless, and he should SNAP TO when it is time to observe time honored traditional etiquette.

To further the case of his repeated faux pas,

Picture of Obama with the King of Saudi Arabia, was it a bow or was it not a bow?  At the time the official position was that it was NOT a bow, Obama is just tall and was bending down to shake the man’s hand.  Although this is ridiculous to anyone not legally blind, the final nail in that coffin is:

Now unless we pull a Slick Willie and debate the definition of “bow”  is; this is a BOW.  The W.H. didn’t try to spin it, they refused to comment.  Then they commented that it is irrelevant.  I contend that it is COMPLETELY relevant, in fact it punctuates the whole issue I have with Obama. This is Obama with the Emperor of Japan.  The Japanese etiquette calls for a head NOD.  The emperor in Japan is completely ceremonial.  The position of Emperor of Japan really sort of lost standing after destroying the Nation in WWII.  The most interesting thing to me is that he did not bow to the Queen of England.  I think this is very illustrative. Taking this indisputable bow into account, I will make a few assertions

1. It lends more credence (as if any was needed) that the previous Bow flap was in fact a BOW.
2. taking all four pictures into account he is either woefully clueless as to proper etiquette of the POTUS (likely) AND/or
3. He does not identify himself as American, and/or he does not think that the office of POTUS is especially exceptional.
4. He really really does not care for our closest ally; England.  This is supported not only by the gifts of Wal-Mart DVDs and an iPod of his speeches, but also not bowing to the Queen, while definitively bowing to the leader of the house of Saud, and the Emperor of Japan.
5. Finally, and this is totally suppostion, and I will just throw this out there for what it is worth.  His stepfather was an Asian follower of Islam.  He might identify with those two “groups”.  Of course his Grandmother was an old white woman…so… who knows.

That is how I see it, there are the pictures, you all make up your own minds.

 Not that the below even makes any sense but I did notice I have received some hits from the KOS, and I wondered what in the hell had we done to get those zombie’s attention…so as disgusting as it was wading through the slime over there I did finally find the referral.   Not that this sort of inane crap deserves comment but I will do so anyway.

1) this site is not “turf” anything.  This is 100% home grown Missouri fescue, baby! (as for AD33 do not ask what he has grown in the past, you will hear all kinds of stories),  we don’t do this for money, you will see no tip jars, and I didn’t start this little endeavor for any reason but to vent and maybe educate.  I unlike you drooling morons can read and understand history and the constitution and do not need John Podesta or George Soros feeding me my daily talking points.  The reason you see so many people who are like minded on this side of the blogosphere is because we, having read the same things, and seen the same things, come to the same rational conclusions.  Unlike you moonbat leftists, who hae the same talking points spoon fed into you.  So I can see how you would be confused.

2) Neither I nor AD33 is LDS, RLDS or any of the above.  I keep religion strictly out of this blog except for in passing and this is precisely the reason why.  I do not need a religious argument to out debate the morons on the KOS with one arm tied behind my back.  AD33 will tell you the same.

.... sites.  And it's on fairly new blogspots so it's some sort of game somebody's playing with spamming the internet since the election, there's lots of these astroturfing sites.  It's the same theme with the same words over and over again, targeted to the really dumb voters, propoganda with stereotypes, blah blah blah.

In fact it was probably written to appeal specifically to LDS Republicans from all the buzz words. 

Somebody posted one of these a while back during a previous election,  and I did manage to trace the authorship to a real person and a real name, and it was some nutball local LDS guy, this is how they do their "storytelling. "  Since this was written or strung together at least partially by a Brit, Canadian, or Aussie I have a suspicion of where it came from, it's just Republican astroturf crap.

Bill Ayers and the Weather Underground, one of those bank robberies was in the suburban Sacramento area, David Horowitz has been a guest speaker at one of the local Republican clubs in Placer County CA, Marxist this,  Glenn Beck that, "storm is coming" more LDS phrasing.
My Congressman the flat earth wingnut has a Russian born COS/fundraiser so it's very likely this little gemstone came out of my area and hell, the thing could have been written by one of his bloggers or one of the RMR/MAF people.

In doing this blog I have a few people from outside that get my ear and that I find to be like minded, honest and not not have a "private agenda" other than preserving the American way of life. They get my ear. Of those I have a couple if friends in "high places." They see and interact with the government on a level most of us cannot imagine because they see the inside of the monster we are fighting. When they speak, I listen and disseminate the info to you. Because of that I dare not reveal names or they would not be in high places anymore and could end up 6 feet under if too much got said. Profiles in Communist Tyranny: Great Leader & Dear Leader –Not Obama

  Kim Il-sung led North Korea from its founding in 1948 until his death in 1994, exercising autocratic power. During his tenure as leader of North Korea, he favored his self-developed Juche political ideology and established a pervasive and entrenched cult of personality. North Korea officially refers to Kim Il-sung as the "Great Leader" and he is designated in the constitution as the country's "Eternal President".  Much of the early records of his life come from his own personal accounts and official North Korean government publications, which often conflict with independent sources. Nevertheless, there is some consensus on at least the basic story of his early life. Often North Korean sources place him as an "almighty spirit" that was born and died in human form, almost in a similar manner to Jesus Christ.  Kim became interested in communist ideologies when was fourteen years old. His formal education ended at 17 when he was arrested and jailed for his subversive activities.  Kim became the youngest member of an underground Marxist organization with less than twenty members, The police discovered the group three weeks after it was formed in 1929, and jailed Kim for several months.

In 1935 Kim took the name Kim Il-sung, meaning "become the sun." By the end of the Russo-Japanese war, although his division only captured a small Japanese-held town just across the Korean border for a few hours, his was name legendary.  In 1931, Kim joined the  Communist Party of China. When he returned to Korea he was installed by the Soviets as head of the Provisional People’s Committee. Kim constructed a large and skilled army and air force. This was made possible by arms provided by Stalin.  After the South formally declared independence from the North, Kim Il Sung was appointed as the prime minister of "North Korea". North Korean  troops invaded South Korea on 25 June 1950 intending to use force to unify the country under a communist government.

China reluctantly supported the idea of the war because Kim told Mao that Stalin had approved the action. North Korean forces captured Seoul and occupied most of the South, but were soon driven back by the U.S.counter attack aimed at keeping South Korea free. By October, UN forces had retaken Seoul captured Pyongyang, forcing Kim and his government to flee to China. With the help of Chinese troops the Koreans forced the  UN troops to withdraw and Chinese troops retook Pyongyang and Seoul in 1951. Shortly the U.N. forces began a new offensive, retaking Seoul. After a series of offensives and counter-offensives by both sides and a grueling period of trench warfare, the front was stabilized along what eventually became the permanent DMZ  in July 1953. As a result of U.S. bombardment few buildings were left standing in North Korea and by the time of the armistice, upwards of 3.5 million Koreans (North and South) had died in the conflict.

Restored as the leader of North Korea, Kim embarked on the reconstruction of the country devastated by the war. He  established a command economy [Yah cause  history shows that works], with all industry owned by the state and all agriculture collectivized [hmmm]. He was  intent on eliminating class differences [oh]and the economy was based upon the needs of workers and peasants [wow]. The economy  focused on heavy industry and arms production. [wouldn’t worry about a silly thing like food]

 

 

 

During the 1950s, Kim was seen as an orthodox Communist leader. He rejected the USSR’s de-Stalin-ization under Khrushchev because he felt it was in opposition to communism. He distanced himself from the Soviet Union, going so far as wiping any mention of his Red Army career from official history, and began reforming the country to his own radical Stalinist tastes.  In 1956, emboldened by the de-Stalinization of the USSR others in North Korea began to criticize Kim, wanting their own reforms.   After a period of indecision, Kim instituted a purge, executing many as traitors for suggesting reform. He began establishing an extensive personality cult, and North Koreans began to address him as "Great Leader" Kim developed the policy and ideology of Juche (self-reliance) rather than having North Korea become a Soviet satellite state.

In October 1980, Kim publicly designated his son as his successor.  From about this time, however, North Korea encountered increasing economic difficulties. The practical effect of Juche was to cut the country off from virtually all foreign trade which naturally led to mounting economic difficulties.

North Korea repeatedly predicted that Korea would be re-united before Kim’s 70th birthday in 1982, and there were fears in the West that Kim would launch a new Korean War. But, by this time, the disparity in economic and military power  between the (communist) North and the (capitalist) South made it impossible.

By the 1990s, North Korea was nearly completely isolated from the outside world.  Its economy was virtually bankrupt, crippled by huge expenditures on armaments, with an agricultural sector unable to feed its population, but state-run North Korean media continued to lionize Kim. Kim Il-sung died suddenly of a heart attack in Pyongyang on July 8, 1994, leaving the failing state in the hands of  Kim Jong-il.

Kim Jong-il, or "Dear Leader", as he is officially referred to, is currently the paramount leader of North Korea. Official biographers claim that his birth at Baekdu Mountain was foretold by a swallow, and heralded by the appearance of a double rainbow over the mountain and a new star in the heavens.  

  His first order of business,after being appointed  instructor and section chief to the Party Central Committee, was to put in place measures to ensure the Party's ideological system was rigidly enforced among the media, writers and artists. (no fox news for NorKor no siree…it is MSNBC 24/7)

At the time Kim assumed the title "Dear Leader" the government began building a personality cult around him like that of his father, "Great Leader." Kim Jong-il was regularly hailed by the media as the "fearless leader" and "the great successor to the revolutionary cause".  Defectors have been quoted as saying that North Korean schools deify both father and son. His birthday is one of the most important public holidays in the country. On his 60th birthday, mass celebrations occurred throughout the country. It is said that he has the "magical" ability to "control the weather" based on his mood.  Like his father, Kim has a fear of flying, and has always traveled by  private armored train for state visits. The BBC reported that he had live lobsters air-lifted to the train every day while en route.  [Know anyone else with a taste for gourmet?]

In 1992, radio broadcasts started referring to him as the "Dear Father", instead of the "Dear Leader", suggesting a promotion. According to defectors , North Korea became even more centralized and autocratic under Kim Jong-il than it had been under his father. Although Kim Il-sung required his ministers to be loyal to him, he  nonetheless sought their advice in decision-making; Kim Jong-il demands absolute obedience and agreement, and views any deviation from his thinking as a sign of disloyalty. (?hmm)  Sources say  Kim Jong-il personally directs even minor details of state affairs, such as the size of houses for party secretaries and the delivery of gifts to his subordinates (or salaries of auto and bank executives??). 

By the 1980s, North Korea began to experience severe economic stagnation. Kim Il-sung's policy of juche (self-reliance) cut the country off from almost all external trade.  A series of floods followed by droughts along with the isolationist policies in the late nineties led to an immense famine and left North Korea in economic shambles. Faced with a country in decay, Kim adopted a "Military-First" policy to  strengthen the country and reinforce the regime.  On the national scale, this has produced a positive growth rate for the country since 1996, and the implementation of "socialist-type market economic practices" in 2002 kept the North afloat despite a continued dependency on foreign aid for food.

In 2002, Kim Jong-il declared that "money should be capable of measuring the worth of all commodities."  This gesture towards economic reform mirrors similar actions taken by China in the late 1980s  (for those not up on Chinese History that is when they went from huts and bikes to apartments and scooters). During a rare visit in 2006, Kim expressed admiration for China's rapid economic [capitalist] progress. [Huh…Capitalism to the rescue!]

Hmmm let me see…collectivization, cult of personality, shutting down opposing viewpoints, obfuscating historical facts such as birthplaces and whereabouts and substituting official party line…destruction and demonization of profit, instituting programs that despite a growing economy leave people unable to survive… wow…where have I heard that…let me…see…oh wait…DAILY IN MY LOCAL NEWS! 

People, all of these ideas have been tried over and over and over again.  Country after Country decade and era after decade and era.  THEY FAIL. EVERYTIME.  How do we make people see this?  Please tell me.
