So, Following up on Yesterday’s Post,  Puerto Rico – A New State full of Potential Progressive Voters, the House voted In Favor, including 50 of our closest allies  (Distance is relative, remember, Mars is the next closest planet to earth but still a long long… long way from us) the Republicans, to ‘reaffirm’ Puerto Rico’s right to self determination.  A right they have had for six decades now. Let me be clear® I am not against Puerto Rico becoming a State, not if that is really what the People IN –IN-Puerto Rico want.  Heck, it looks like it would be just an abs-o-lutely fantastic place to visit: The article below is actually from a LeftStreamMedia Source and it almost tells the whole story, of course without any outrage over the bills most ridiculous affront to common sense and ethics to come out of Washington, well in at least the last 24 hours:

Bitter debate ensues as House approves bill that could move Puerto Rico to statehood

  The House on Thursday approved a bill that could move Puerto Rico to statehood - exposing a rare and bitter rift between New York members from the island territory.

Bronx Democratic Rep. Jose Serrano ( THIS GUY is one of the worst, he is the one that always pushes the bill to remove presidential term limits) backed the measure, calling it a vital step to ending colonial rule, even as his usual ally, Rep. Nydia Velazquez (D-Brooklyn) blasted it as a "disgrace," "shameful" and "appalling." (thank you for that, Nydia)

The measure offers Puerto Rico - a U.S. territory for 112 years - a two-step vote.

The first would ask whether Puerto Ricans -

including those living in the States - like the current territorial commonwealth status or if they want change.

If the vote is for change, a second vote would ask what change they want.

"For the first time in 112 years, the Congress of the United States will ask the 4 million American citizens (A huge Liberal Voting Bloc) in Puerto Rico what they wish their relationship to the United States to be," said Serrano.

Velazquez and Harlem Rep. Charlie Rangel, whose father was Puerto Rican, said the measure was a backdoor move to a statehood vote on the island that has failed three times in the past. –OH MY GOD, Charlie Rangel said something bordering on common sensical…  I expect to see unicorns any moment now…

"It is baffling that the statehood option, which lost in 1967, in 1993 and again in 1998, is now allowed to scheme its way to victory," Velazquez said.

Before the debate, the bill had offered three options for change: statehood, independence or an independent "free association" like three other former U.S. territories.

Velazquez argued that if keeping the current status was no longer on the ballot, statehood - always the second choice in the past - would win by default.

She favors a Puerto Rican constitutional convention.

Velazquez managed to win an amendment to add keeping the status quo to the choices.

"We restored some fairness to a badly flawed process," she said.

Still, Serrano was so pleased he wielded the final gavel, hammering it down with a wide smile.

Missouri Politician Approval Ratings

-The health care debate seems to have taken a serious toll on Claire McCaskill's approval ratings. 38% of voters in the state say they like the job she's doing while 51% disapprove. The key finding- 85% of folks who oppose the health care bill passed last week disapprove of McCaskill. That's an indication that feelings about the bill and feelings about McCaskill have become practically one and the same.

Boy, that is sad news. 

Repeat after me Claire: “Welcome to McDonald’s can I take your order?”; or maybe you prefer “Attention Wal-Mart shoppers…”

Look, Claire Baire, I have been telling you for nearly a year now that you were going  to get hosed if you kept up with the Obama puppy love googley eyes thing; and  Nasty Botoxi is not going to share any of her stash with you nor will she let you ride her broom.  Harry Reid doesn’t know which way is up, and forgets what his vote is supposed to be. You are not keeping very good company. 

Do the right thing for the first time in a long time… stop being a lapdog.  Otherwise it is just like we have been trying to tell you…you will be fired.

Claire (Bear) McCaskill (Worst MO Senator Ever) wants my opinion on Spending Limits.

My. Gawd. Woman.  But you are a glutton for punishment aren’t you?  Just to bring the folks up to speed here is an email from Claire-Bear  Read it and be amazed at the temerity of the woman. 

 

Dear Friend,
It's going to take full, comprehensive budget reform to break the cycle of debt and put us back on track. I am committed to making that reform a reality. (!)
But the first piece of the puzzle is holding down government spending where we can. (!!)That's why Senator Jeff Sessions (R-Alabama) and I are offering an amendment that would cap increases in discretionary spending through 2014 and encourage the President to renew the caps when they expire.
Read about the amendment, and let me know what you think.
Discretionary spending only makes up about a third of the federal budget, so this amendment alone won’t solve our huge fiscal problems.
Much more will need to be done. I introduced legislation that would reinstitute a Pay-As-You-Go law (!!!)that would force across-the-board spending cuts if Congress passed any legislation that increased spending or cut taxes without offsetting the cost. I also support efforts to create a Fiscal Task Force, which would propose legislation to close the long term budget gap and submit it to Congress for a vote.
The reason this is so important is our back is against a wall – unless the debt limit is raised our country will default on our debt, our nation’s credit will be ruined, inviting a new global economic crisis. (!!!!)
People who say we should let our nation default are being irresponsible, but we can’t keep kicking the can down the road – that's why I’m introducing this amendment.

Now. I. Swear.  if this does not take all the nerve in the world.  I bet this woman could actually say this stuff with a straight face.  First lets run down some facts.  Depending on who you listen to these proposed cuts would be between 12% and 15% of the budget. So as much as 15 cents on the dollar.  Of that, it does not, DOES. NOT. include Medicare, Medicaid, OASDI, or other entitlement programs.  Plus there is around 500 billion in “stimulus” money that can be spent on whatever they want but has not been spent on anything yet, that these proposed cuts would not take into account.  Lastly, and this is key, even in the extreme event that they passed this, they would not follow it.  These people are categorically incapable of fiscal restraint.  One last thing, the final point.  The most important part of this whole piece.  A spending freeze will freeze the spending at the HIGHER BLAOTED OVER INFLATED RATE that we have now.  That means NO REDUCTION FOR THE NEXT THREE YEARS.

Now item for Item: Item (!) Claire, when did this become a priority?  Was this after Missourians chewed you out for months over ZeroCare, or was it after Scott Brown won in Massachusetts?  Do you see the writing on the wall?  Sister, you better.

Item (!!) Really Claire, really?  The first piece of the puzzle is holding down spending where we can?  Really?  What caused this fast switch?  I thought that from your earlier missives that spending billions and bailing out banks and nationalizing healthcare and ensuring free homes to everyone, a chicken in every pot and forty acres and a mule was our ticket to prosperity…  Now you are saying it is fiscal responsibility.  Wow.  Hmmm.  I think the ticket to Missouri's prosperity is first to get rid of you and then our new Governor. 

Item (!!!) PayGo… what a blast from the past.  I think I heard Botoxi say that about a year ago.  Democrats (Republicans too) always talk of this as if it means something.  It doesn’t and the ZeroCare fiasco proves it.  You will cook the books however is necessary to make it appear that things are deficit neutral or even save us money and they never do.

 

A task Force, wow.  Another blue ribbon panel of do-nothings that will submit some meaningless report that no one will follow and we will never hear from again. 

Claire, you want my opinion, this is all so much hogwash, political spin, and window dressing, because you know that your days are numbered.  We are on to you Claire.

You want to impress me? Let’s start talking about budget reductions, back to at least 2005 levels (not counting defense spending), let’s talk repeal of the stimulus, pay back the Chinese, stop the healthcare nonsense, quit talking about commuter trains and anything else your Obamessiah talks about. 

P.s., we are also on to the fact that the so called upcoming “jobs bill” is Stimulus 2…and that stimulus 1 is a failure as far as jobs are concerned.

Missouri State Representatives take on ObamaCare

God, how I love Missouri and Missourians.  Even with complete Wastes-of-skin®  like Cleaver, Carnahan, and Claire-Bear McCaskill around, Missourians, and for the most part those who are elected to represent them, are pretty awesome.  The Representatives from the Missouri General Assembly below are pushing Missouri House Joint Resolution 57, which, if passed would put a Referendum on the ballot to Amend the Missouri Constitution basically Nullifying the personal mandate.  It makes me smile with Evil Glee® just thinking about it.  It states in part:

“To preserve the freedom of citizens of this state to provide for their health care, no law or rule shall compel, directly or indirectly or through penalties or fines, any person, employer, or health provider to participate in any health care system.  A person or employer may pay directly for lawful health care services and shall not be required to pay penalties or fines for paying directly for lawful health care services.  A health care provider may accept direct payment for lawful health care services and shall not be required to pay penalties or fines for accepting direct payment from a person or employer for lawful health care services.”

The Resolution was Introduced By Representative Jones (89, Eureka Area) and co-sponsored by Icet, Nieves, Scharnhorst, Stream, Schaaf, Thomson, Funderburk, Burlison, Koenig, Gatschenberger, Smith (150), Emery, Bivins, Smith (14), Kraus, Ruzicka, Cox, Munzlinger, Denison, Richard, Jones (117), Tilley, Wells, Wilson (130), Dieckhaus, Allen, Mcnary, Dugger, Mcghee, Wilson (119), Pratt, Parkinson, Zerr, Dixon, Stevenson, Pollock, Day, Molendorp, Grisamore, Ruestman, Brandom, Flanigan, Fisher (125), Schad, Guernsey, Riddle, Largent, Leara, Schoeller, Diehl, Dethrow, Davis, Sutherland, Lair, Keeney, Wasson, Cooper, Faith, Sander, Parson, Kingery, Guest, Brown (149), Weter, Viebrock, Cunningham, Tracy, Nolte, Bruns, Franz, Nance, Flook, Loehner, Schlottach And Deeken (Co-Sponsors).

Looking at the District Map it becomes confusing with no clear geographical description, but basically ALL of SouthWest Missouri is on board with the exception of a few districts within Greene County, Barry County, Stone County, Most of Taney, and Ozark County. This is some of the poorest parts of Missouri along with Stoddard, Dunklin, Mississippi, New Madrid, and Pemiscot Counties. Of course there is the oft-maligned I70 corridor that trends Liberal, KC is a mish mash, St. Louis is mostly a loss.

If you live in one of the Liberal Areas put pressure on your representative to push this initiative, we citizens of Missouri should at least get to vote on it.

This is currently not listed on the calendar to go to a vote but with the majority party in control and almost all of them co-sponsoring look for a ballot initiative amend the Missouri Consititution to nullify the individual mandate of ZeroCare.

I had a very knowledgeable person tell me Nullification was non constitutional, I then asked him if the Individual mandate would be, and he said it was also non-constitutional.  So I say we fight fire with fire.

Also in the works is the re-affirmation of the Missouri’s Sovereignty under the 10th Amendment…stay tuned for that one when it is introduced.

While we slept this morning, the real mobsters, the ones dishing out and accepting bribes in the District of Criminals, completely fucked our country along straight party lines (60-39) … with the first vote on Christmas Eve in more than a century.
Atlas just shrugged.
And the funny thing is, we didn’t sleep. We marched on our capitol buildings during the spring, leading up to TEA Party day on April 15. We screamed during townhall meetings and at local Congressional and Senate offices all summer long. We marched on Washington a million-plus strong in September. We stormed Congressional offices in the fall. We added more than a million signatures to a petition to Congress to stop this madness. We phoned and we blogged and we emailed and we snail mailed and we faxed and we twittered and we bled patriotism, pleading with them:
STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING AND USE YOUR LAST BRAIN CELL TO COME TO YOUR SENSES.
And they didn’t hear a fucking thing.
I don’t know how much more awake we could have been. I don’t know how much louder we could have screamed. I don’t know how many more ways we could have made our opposition known.
In the end, it didn’t matter. They think they know better than us. And now it’s done.
And that’s fine. Let them have their perceived notion of power. Let them slink back home for Christmas and get drunk on the stinking fumes of their “victory.” Let them dance wildly in the shimmery mirage of the “history” they’ve made.
Because now the real fight begins. The fight for November 2010 and 2012 and every forthcoming election thereafter. The fight to send these fuckers back to their homes, tattered and broken, never to be heard from again.
Be bloody angry. Let it burn in you. Let it harden your resolve. Use it to carry on and maintain your focus. Keep it close and keep it ready for when you need it, for when it will be your time to have your voice truly heard.
Get out your checkbooks and give to the organizations that will try to stop this un-Constitutional legislation in the courts. Beat the bushes and find real conservative candidates who are truly willing to honor the Constitution and write them checks and speak out on their behalf.
Then, when the time comes, scream so loudly with your finger in the voting booth that the Socialists will be shocked when the 7 p.m. newscasts declare them extinct.
We’re coming for you, fatcats. Enjoy your good times. Your days of thievery are done. Forever.

Every single Democrat voting for this monstrous bill is a Joker. 

This is not how legislation should be passed.  This is not the American way.  This is how the Soviet Union and banana republics operated. 

McCaskill is not up for re-election until 2012, but we hope Missouri does not forget what she has done by then.  (we must never Forget)

We are all Batman today…and need to work hard to put McCaskill and her band of thugs out of business in 2010, 2012, and 2014…until every last one of The Gang of 60 is defeated.

UPDATE:  Some of you wonder why Claire McCaskill is now just the Second-Worst Living Senator.  Previously, she has been listed as the Worst Living Senator in our book.  Harry Reid, in our opinion, nudged her out of her title a few weeks back when he started calling opponents of Healthcare Rationing RAAACISTS, and said that opposing what he was doing with this secret, middle of the night legislation was tantamount to supporting slavery.  That is so wrong, so inappropriate, and so patently INSANE that we couldn’t help but list him as the Worst of the Worst.  McCaskill will, no doubt, regain her title in November 2010 when Reid is booted from office…and she will retain that title until she, too, is removed from the Senate in 2012.

Well, Claire, if my aunt had nuts she would be my uncle.  If we printed the United States Constitution one letter per page it might be as long as the health destruction bill is at 1/2 size font. 
I doubt very seriously that you have read Palin’s book, and if you have, you better have already finished your homework.  Your little twittweet would seem to indicate that you have read both the healthcaredestruction bill as well as Palin’s book.  Since you would have to know what is in both the be telling the truth with your moronic statement.
Fact is you dislike the woman because she is a living breathing example of Pro-Life, Gun Loving, REAL people.  She lives in Alaska and has more in common with Missourians than you do. Since you grew up in the big city.
