Free Government Cell Phone –Ridonculous Bullshit & My Obama-mas List

Everything is Free I heard it but I could not believe it.  But it is true.  As part of the Obamanation and Porklulus, low income people are eligible to get free cell phones.  In the age where a Cell Phone is a “right” there is no way that we can expect the sheeples to understand that we do not have a RIGHT to Healthcare or pretty much  anything else.

Why stop here?  I want a Lot of things.

Dear Obama Claus, please have your Obama-mas Imps, Pelosi, Reid, Dodd, Frank, et al. to get busy  with these requests.  I have lots of needs and rights.

I want Free Satellite TV. Free Broadband Internet.  I want a pair of Nike’s every six freebies months.  I want a new car every two years.  I want someone to deliver groceries and fill my pantry once a month.  I want free propane. I want free electricity.  I want new jeans once a year.  I want a tank of gas a week. I want universal computers.  I want universal haircuts.  I want universal car insurance.  I want universal airfare.  I want universal electricity. I want universal housecleaning.  I want Universal Lawn care.  I want…no wait scratch ALL OF THAT…

I WANT TO BE LEFT THE  “F” ALONE.  I WANT MY TAXES LOWER. I WANT THEM TO LEAVE MY GUNS  ALONE.  I WANT OUR KIDS LEFT ALONE. I WANT OUR BORDERS SECURE.  I WANT OUR LAWS UPHELD.  I WANT TO WIN OUR WARS AND BRING OUT BOYS AND GIRLS HOME.   I WANT LIBERALS TO GET OUT OF MY FREAKING LIFE! I WANT MY FREEDOM TO CHOOSE WHAT IS BEST FOR ME AND MY FAMILY …BY MYSELF.

GET OUT OF MY LIFE AND OUT OF MY POCKET, ASSHOLES!

Hulk SMASH!!

My sentiments exactly. Colorado participated in this cell phone for bums program, and taxpayers were not amused. Hopefully it will contribute to the downfall of "Tax" Ritter, our governor and Obama kiss@ss extraordinaire.
I have heard this ad on my local radio station every single morning at the same exact time. its annoying as hell. One of the stations DJs does this ad. He has been mocked by the listeners a few times.
You are wrong about most of this article, firstly Obama has nothing to do with this free phone, Safelink program was started under Bush's administration. Second it's not paid for by taxes but by the USF which is sustained by contributions from telecommunications companies and third I do think that everyone has the right to call 911, have you noticed how few payphones there are around these days. Cell phones are the cheapest and easiest way to give people the chance to find jobs and call 911 all at the same time.

The first bailouts and the beginnings of the stimulus were also done by the previous administration. I have little love for Bush either, the fact remains people looked to Obama to pay their house payment or fill their tank.
Contributions from where within the telecommunications companies? Please tell me more.
I disagree that everyone has a "right" to call 911. I do agree that it is beneficial and worthwhile for everyone to be able to call 911, but from what I have been told a cell phone and a payphone will both dial 911 free of charge.? I have noticed that payphones are dying out.
I can agree with you that it would be beneficial to have a phone while searching for a job. Also beneficial are things such as nice clothes, a running car, a college education, and many other things, and yet, these are not rights; should the government or society foot the bill for those things too?
My point was that once people become entitled to things such as universal cell phones then it will be, if not impossible, at least incredibly difficult to teach younger generations that they are not entitled to everything at the teat of the Government.? I believe that you may have partially proved my point by proclaiming that being able to call 911 was a "right" just like the free ambulance ride is probably a "right" and the free ER visit is probably also a "right". None of these are "rights" although I might be inclined to agree that some of them are socially beneficial or morally imperative.
I appreciate your respectful disagreement very much and hope you comment again.
How much federal money (our taxpayer money) goes to those telecoms you mentioned? Gee, there's Launching Satellites and maintaining them (that NASA and taxpayer money), Cell towers, that's federal land, and taxpayer money, as well as bandwidth, going through the FCC and licensing which is federal money and, oh yes, there are the emergency Cell Towers on trucks now. Why did they do that? I know firsthand!! Hurricane Ivan in 2004 took out every cell tower, TV and Radio broadcast signal within a 200 mile radius. I was there, and believe me, it was a pain in the rear being without power for a month and a half, having to boil water everyday, stand in lines for MREs and Ice, but it gave me a really good perspective of what life was like before everybody owed everybody everything and you know what? I liked it better! In response, the Cell Phone companies using HOMELAND SECURITY money developed trucks with "portable mini cell towers to drive into disaster areas with what? FEDERAL MONEY. TAXPAYER MONEY. Yes it happened under Bush. Just because Bush went cliff diving, does that make it okay for Obama to steam the train full speed ahead off the cliff? That seems to be your argument. You hated Bush for doing, yet love Obama for doing far more. That's hipocrisy where I come from. Now can you tell me why every American OWES every other American a cell phone just for being lucky enough not to be aborted before birth? What's next, give the Iraqis or Kenyans cell phones too? If that's the case, you owe me a car. I demand your car because it's nicer than mine. I need that car.
NOBODY has a RIGHT to a FREE CELL PHONE. PERIOD. It's that simple.
