Latest News in Global Warming and Climate Change

Picture1 I just got this super secret information from the far right wing information center on climate change:  The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). According to their own propaganda they are a “scientific” agency within the United States Department of Commerce focused on the conditions of the oceans and the atmosphere. Part of their stated “mission” is “guiding the use and protection of ocean and coastal resources, and conducting research to improve understanding and stewardship of the environment.”   This flat earther right wing lunatic fringe group is headed by the current Under Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere at the Department of Commerce, and the agency's Administrator, is Dr. Jane Lubchenco, who was nominated by President Barack Obama and confirmed by the United States Senate on March 19th, 2009. Now she ain’t no Climate Czar, she just heads the pre-eminent weather and climate research agency in the United States.  So don’t go comparing anything this fruit loop group has to say with something so esteemed as the UN’s IPCC panel or the words of super cereal smart guy  and nobel peace prize winner, Algore.

But here is some information that I found, after a lot of work; which mainly consisted of typing “NOAA Average Temperatures 2009” into Google.

“The average October temperature of 50.8°F was 4.0°F below the 20th Century average and ranked as the 3rd coolest based on preliminary data.

For the nation as a whole, it was the third coolest October on record (they mean EVAR). The month was marked by an active weather pattern that reinforced unseasonably cold air behind a series of cold fronts. Temperatures were below normal in eight of the nation's nine climate regions, and of the nine, five were much below normal. …

Regionally, two of the nation's nine climate regions (the East North Central and South) saw their wettest October. The Central region had its second wettest October, while the West North Central had its fourth wettest. This was the first month since December 2007 that no region had below normal precipitation.

The three-month (August-October) rainfall was record-setting for many [areas]. It is noteworthy that this occurred despite only one tropical cyclone (Claudette, in August) making landfall in the region during this period.  By the end of October, moderate-to-exceptional drought covered (only) 12 percent of the contiguous United States, the second-smallest drought footprint of the decade, based on the U.S. Drought Monitor. Major drought episodes in California and South Texas improved significantly.”

So despite the claims that all animals should be killed, we should all ride our big al-gore-utility-2wheels to work, bottle sunlight and do away with electricity, take cold showers, and quit flying our gulfstream v’s everywhere we go,

Polar Bear Burn to Death

returning life to a more simple 14th century model; lest we all die horrible mutating oxygen deprived desiccated deaths,  before the earth burns up and blows away Killing all life as we know it.  And despite the claims that Denver will soon be ocean front property as polar bears die  slow agonizing deaths from heat exhaustion and starvation and penguins weep, it appears that we are in fact not on fire.

I expect “scientists” to change their tunes starting next year to reverse and proclaim the next Ice Age.  Which is actually pretty cool, cause I love that squirrel -rat guy and his nut. That shit cracks me up.

Suprisingly, Kook has ventured into one of my top realms of interest and I Am confirming that this is true. I could give you the why's and hows of this event but I am l am busy now. It's nice to see others focusing on this, especially since Obama wants to go sell our sovreignty in Copenhagen over this issue which I believe could be the spark that ignites the overheated powder keg within the population of this country. When I hear people discussing refusing to pay taxes locally as "concientious objectors" IN SPANISH, I see that our view of things is not only confirmed, it's spreading into other communities. As I said, Copenhagen or healthcaredestruction will be the straw that broke the camel's back.

I found this and could not resist. Did you like the pictures?

Yes. I don't know if you are, but your pix look like you are using the same software as I am. It brings a a "uniformity" to the blog. I like that. I did not want it to appear as though I was doing cool graphic stuff and you weren't. That's not teamwork.

For the rest of you, here you can see a tidbit of the personal dialogue between KOOK and I that happens very often. This is what we do do keep the blog going. This is how we stay on the same page and collaborate not so much on content, but general concepts and directions to do this. We do put quite a bit of thought and work into our presentation and we hope you the reader appreciate it.

I am using a 2.99 app on the iphone. iComic. it is easy enough even I can do it. I also have a few other picture apps that were free. I like doing it on the iphone better than any free software I have found yet for the lap top.
Any global warming advocate will be quick to tell you that you can't use weather to gauge climate change. Not sure exactly what you are supposed to use...

Well, we have so called experts who think the 2 are the same. We make computer modeling systems that can predict weather out a week at best, by 2 weeks, they can't see squat, use them to predict weather 50 years out and say global warming is coming. Who controls these computer systems? Why the trustworthy governments of the EU, UN etc. We all trust them right? Not to mention we barely have 50 years of real data. That in the big picture of "climate" is a pixel on a 5000 foot LCD tv Screen.
I think ice age is on track. They occur in 12,000 year cycles as well, and we are very close to that cycle. In the over scheme of things we might even be entering that cycle according to information and climatolgist I have heard on the Mike Church show. You mix that with solar cycle 23, which shows the sun fizzling out and entering a low solar storm period, and this earth is definitely not getting hotter.

You are correct. The Maunder Minimum (lack of solar flare activity) has lasted far longer than predicted. That means the Earth is neither receiving the same amount or types of energy it had been or is predicted to be. Also the Atlanic Ocean which in 1995 entered a warm cycle that has historically lasted 30 years or longer, has come out of it in 13. Google AMO or AtlanticMultiDecadalOscillation. I can't speak for the whole world, N.America and Europe will see big changes. Warming would be preferable to what now looks to be likely. Google "little ice age" for all the nice details.
Kook and Andrew, but probably mostly Andrew, you may be interested in a new study showing that the earth's absorption of carbon is not decreasing. Also the effects of deforestation is being overstated.

Actually, the cooling oceans I mentioned in my comment to clay absorb CO2 at a huge rate. Even gradual falls in ocean temps cause exponential rises in CO2 absorption. The warm cycle in the Pacific ended a few years ago, the Altantic usually lags far behind but it's warm cycle seems to have cut off early too. That means we are losing greenhouse gasses which keep the planet insulated and livable at the same time we have lost solar energy. Gee, kinda makes me wonder about some things.

(I saw that report too but have already reached the conclusions made in that report long ago. Thanks for the link though, we've been doing so much other stuff that I have not really had time to focus on climate. Now that hurricane season is having it's last gasp I will go more to climatology in my personal time for the next 6 months)
Mostly I was interested in the overstatement of deforestation. Nearly 50% is nothing to sneeze at.

When I flew home from DC to West Palm Beach FL, we flew right over the east coast of the USA. normally flights near FL happen over the ocean. I traced the coastline all the way home. It is the most developed part of the USA. Know what I saw on the land? Trees...trees...trees...trees..a road here, neighborhood there even a city or 2 in the distance but 99.9% of what I saw was trees. Deforestastion my posterior!!!!
Deforestation simply does not happen in the USA.
