Finally Bought The 5000 Year Leap

I am about 100 pages in. Bought it yesterday. I have been looking for this book and have not been able to find in anywhere around home, but I am at Mom's in Branson this weekend and I found it.

Get it. Read it.

If I was going to give a must read list, so far it is:
Phil Valentine - The Conservative's Handbook
Mark Levin - Liberty and Tyranny
Jonah Goldberg - Liberal Fascism
and
THE 5000 Year Leap.

I've been looking for it too. It is hard to find and from what I hear well worth it. I'm fairly loaded up with reading material right now anyways. I get spread thin trying to read everything on every subject that I am interested in. And they say so called "Conservatives" don't read. That is a big liberal lie. We just don't read as much new trash books. We read books that have stood the test of time, like the 5000 year old leap which If I recall is not new at all.

Nope it is not new. American Progressivism is another one on my list, and it is a textbook I think.
I thought it was from the 1950's. I may be thinking of something else. I tend to get things mixed up every now and then.
It's funny that I see this post. I was just at the mall looking for it while waiting for a movie, and no I didn't find it. Found about five Obama books though.

found mine at one of those discount bookstores like Foozles used to be. Was checking out and saw it, it was the last copy and I said, I need that one too... the guy said "we cannot keep that one lately, what is it about?" I said " do you watch fox news, or listen to talk radio" he said "yes" I said "get it and read it, and order more"
You'd think if it was selling that good he already would have. I guess that's just an example of my sorry business sense. Or common sense.
GO TO www.nccs.net You can get the 5000 year leap there, along with other good history and philosophy books, biographies of the founders, the pocket constituion etc.____Unbelievably good prices, just started checking it out myself

Just checked thewebsite...Amazon beats the prices by a lot for books they both carry plus they have shipping deals. NCCS is certainly a good site to bookmark and check out for books not found on Amazon, though.

BTW....I really enjoy your blog! You are the down-to-earth kind of person who can really say it like it is...and most the time, be kind too!
Thank you Judy, I try not to get too hateful; at time it is a challenge though. I see this amazing country we live in being destroyed from within by people who could not have begun to build it. I am just a simple guy, never wanted to be this involved in politics...but evil persists when good people do nothing. So I gradually and reluctantly get more involved.
Thank you for reading, share it with your friends, and if you see something share it with me.
Hate gets us nowhere. That is what separates us from them and is why most Americans when push comes to shove are closer to us. Notice how folks in urban areas are becoming afraid to speak their minds openly? Take the Miss California girl for instance. The lunatic fringe wants to do anything they can to silence her because she spoke out against them. This fringe is now emboldened because Obama won the election. They don't realize that a simple thing like the price of a gallon of gas had far more to do with his victory than idealogy. Overreaching to satisfy this fringe will be the undoing of all who support them.
Have you finished the book yet?

I just ordered a copy last night, plus a book which includes the Constitution and Declaration of Independence, etc. plus a copy of the Federalist Papers and the book on George Washington Glen Beck has been touting. I've decided, as money allows, I am going to set up a home library of books related to the History of the USA and related subjects. Maybe one day we won't have access to them anymore!
