Reports of me blowing away are greatly exaggerated

Nor was I hauled off by the ATF, the FBI, the DHS, the DOJ, the IRS, or Secret Service

But I am out of power due to the super awesome storm that happened this morning.
Work was cancelled and I got a head start on Mother's day weekend.
So to Miki in OK - I know you survived, because you emailed me today.
Clay - apparently you made it, you blogged today
Sarge - We are all alive
Nick n Chels - I am fine
Doug - got your message...everything cool
and to anyone else who wondered where I went: I am fine. I did not miss rating the weasel today. I gave Chris Dodd an "F"..because he sucks.

Glad to hear all is well. Did you hide in the nuclear holocaust bunker?

My home is a bunker. I live in an in-ground house.

It is the KOOK Kave.
I wish we could do that here. Then Hurricanes wouldn't rip our roofs off. We cant even make basements here.
I am underground on three sides with an A frame type roof on top.
Glad to hear you are OK. Dodd fails.

Glad you have not burned up...or slid off the mountain....or been destroyed by a 'quake....

Dodd is an Epic Fail
Dodd is a criminal and should spend the rest of his life in jail.
Glad you are O.K. I have read about your storm. It is the closest thing you will ever see in your part of the country to a hurricane. Now imagine it lasting 10-12 hours instead of 2, with stronger winds but no lightning. That's a hurricane for you.

90m.p.h. is only a cat. 1 cane. Dodd is a cat. 5 failure.

Very true, but, we have earthquakes in MO; and I live in Tornado Alley; and most of SWMO is undermined and covered in sinkholes.
So no matter where you live you have to deal with mother nature.
At least with a 'cane you get a warning; with a Twister your warning is usually the roof of your house getting ripped off.
That is true. New Madrid has also been a small interest of mine.
Tornadoes-less so. After 2 cat 3 canes and more weaker ones than I can count, tornadoes seem small scale for me. I know how much damage they do, and we get tons of them in landfalling tropical storms and hurricanes here but they are usually much smaller than the ones you get. If I lived where you do, I'd probably tornado chase though just like I ride out hurricanes just for the reason of seeing them. Here's a question, what good does a day's warning really do? The only really good reason to evac from a cane is if you live in a storm surge zone which to my knowledge, I don't. It would take the mother of all storms coming in from just the right direction to bring in a storm surge up to where I live now. I've experienced that once somewhere else. The chances of seeing 2 in your life like that are very slim. You get as much advanced info with severe wx forecasts as you do with 'canes. Our warnings are usually either over or under-done.
We get sinkholes here too. We get 6 months of no rain, then 50 inches in 6 months and live on pure sand piled up on dead coral reefs. With conditions like that, the sinkholes pop up with the rainy season every year.
I hope you don't go without power long. I went over a month without power after a hurricane. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

I went 8 days last year due to ice storm, and this year I went 4 days without due, again, to the ice storm.
